Are You?

Today, I'll be telling you about something, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).

It isn't about me.  Nor, is it about anything going on in the world at this time.

My aunt, N telephoned me last Tuesday, March 7th, 2017.   We hadn't spoken for just over a month, before that.

It was nice to hear from my aunt.  I was glad to hear she was feeling okay.

She was glad to hear about me being healed from the abscess surgery.  And, let me know that she's praying for my family, and me.

This is really heartwarming to hear from my aunt.  She was actually my God-mother, from when I was christened as an infant.

Of course, I let her know that I pray for her.  And, for her family members.

Something was discussed that was upsetting to me.

My aunt told me that my cousin, C... died on February 10th.  Hearing this, took my breathe away for a moment.

Sigh...

Aunt N let me know this because she knew that I hadn't heard about C's death.  So, she explained what happened.

I must admit, it made me sad, hearing about my cousin C's death.

The only thing I can say, is that I hope my cousin had been trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.  For, if my cousin did, she would now be in Heaven, with our Lord.

Yes, I realize that there are many people who consider themselves to be Christian, even though they may not truly be.

Some people feel their family is Christian.  But, they don't worship, don't read God's Word, the Bible and don't commit themselves to our Lord.

Did my cousin?  Only God knows.

It had been several years since I had seen her.  And, at the time, she didn't seem like a born again Christian, even though she considered herself to be Christian.  Hopefully, she was.

Why do I think that there is a possibility that my cousin C, isn't in Heaven?  As I said, I don't know that she was born again.

We need to be born again.  Just as our Lord told us.

Thinking of this brought to mind, John 3:3, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Yes, Jesus said that except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  When the word 'man' is used, it refers to people in general.

So, anyone who wants to see the kingdom of God, or be in it, needs to be born again.  And, must be.  Just as Jesus told us.

What is it that needs to be done, to be born again?

A person needs to gain salvation, by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.

So many people today, don't even read God's Word, the Bible, or do what is needed to become saved.

This means they don't gain salvation.  And, won't spend eternity with Him, in the kingdom of God... Heaven.

I've done this.  I'm born again.

Are you?

If you haven't yet come to Christ to gain salvation, please... do so today.

Tomorrow may be too late.

Until next time...
