If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday, you'll know that Saturday was not just New Year's Eve. It was also my grandson, S's birthday!
Even though S wanted to have about nine (9) friends over, they didn't all show up for supper. Only a few showed up to have dinner.
I did, though.
My daughter, P made a lovely dinner of Shepherd's Pie. Yes, it was homemade!
I should let you know that every time I'm invited for a birthday supper, what we eat, is what my relative desires, and asks for as a meal for their birthday. :)
So, now you know, my grandson, S requested Shepherd's Pie. I must say it was absolutely delicious. Thank you, P!
Of course, it was so much fun to see S open his birthday gifts. And, for us to sing Happy Birthday!... while the birthday cake arrived in front of him.
Yes, the homemade birthday cake was also delicious! I know that I wasn't the only person who enjoyed the taste. Thank you, P!
Being invited to celebrate my grandson's birthday, made me truly happy.
Attending birthday celebrations provide me with memories that I will always recall. It's definitely wonderful, since I'll always remember the love.
For this, I thank God.
Just as we read, in Philippians 1:3, "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,"
I'll always be thankful to God, upon every remembrance of you, dear S. And, upon every remembrance of all my family members, for whom I am invited to celebrate with.
Of course, I'll always be thankful.
For sure, to God.
But, also to my family members who have me join them in participating the celebrations.
Thank you, my grandson, S.
Thank you, my daughter, P.
And, of course... thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
