Plead!

Every so often, I share something here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), that I've received by e-mail.  Today, I'll be doing that.

The e-mail I received was from the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ).  Here's the e-mail (I copied/pasted):

Lynn,

American Pastor Andrew Brunson faces grave danger.

A Turkish judge has just denied his appeal. His arrest stands.

Now this Christian pastor - a U.S. citizen who has lovingly served the people of Turkey for the past 23 years - faces a difficult and dangerous trial.

He was arrested and imprisoned on false charges of "membership in an armed terrorist organization." The Turkish government - led by an Islamist party - has begun a rampant crackdown on Christians.

We're representing Pastor Andrew's family. We've launched an expansive global legal advocacy campaign demanding his freedom. We're working in Congress, with the incoming administration, and with world leaders to free Pastor Andrew.

Now, we're sending a critical legal letter directly to President Erdoğan of Turkey - demanding human rights and international law be honored and that this wrongly imprisoned American Pastor be freed immediately.

Be Pastor Andrew's voice. Sign our urgent letter.

I am asking you to please... sign the petition to help American Pastor Andrew Brunson be released.

This is a way you can speak up/out for the pastor.

God wants us to speak up/out.  Always.  Especially, for those in need.

Just as we read, in 31:9, "Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy."

Yes, open your mouth.  Judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.

Like the American Pastor Andrew Brunson.  And, other Christians who are imprisoned by Muslims.

Thank you for doing whatever you can for those who are being persecuted for their faith.
