Mighty Power!

I'll say again here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), that today is a day of worship.  Our Lord's Day!

Yes, we need to worship in spirit and in truth.  Just as God's Word, tells us.

Still, I enjoy music to worship with.

A hymn I enjoy is by Isaac Watts (Watts, is the family name of my mom's maiden name!  I wonder if there is family genealogy since her heritage is from England?) and Ralph Vaughan Williams and is entitled, I Sing the Mighty Power of God.  Here is a link for you to click on, so you can hear and/or sing the music:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iJ9nqpGhBE.  The lyrics are below.

I Sing the Mighty Power of God

I sing the mighty power of God, that made the mountains rise,
[or I sing th’almighty power of God…]
That spread the flowing seas abroad, and built the lofty skies.
I sing the wisdom that ordained the sun to rule the day;
The moon shines full at God’s command, and all the stars obey.

I sing the goodness of the Lord, who filled the earth with food,
Who formed the creatures through the Word, and then pronounced them good.
Lord, how Thy wonders are displayed, where’er I turn my eye,
If I survey the ground I tread, or gaze upon the sky.

There’s not a plant or flower below, but makes Thy glories known,
And clouds arise, and tempests blow, by order from Thy throne;
While all that borrows life from Thee is ever in Thy care;
And everywhere that we can be, Thou, God art present there.

As we see in the lyrics, mountains, seas, skies, moon, plants, ground and life are discussed.

Thinking of this, brought to mind Colossians 1:16, "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:"

Today's Bible verse and today's hymn lyrics both discuss that by Him, all things were created... that are in Heaven and in earth, visible and invisible... whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers.

How amazing is this?!

God created everything.  Including you and I.

Hopefully, you love Him.  I do.

If you don't yet love Him, or have not yet come to know Him and/or trust in or believe upon Him to gain salvation, then please read His Word, the Bible.  And, go worship, and attend Bible study, so you can come to know Him.

If you do, you'll be blessed... forever.

Until next time...
