There is something I'm happy to tell you about, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL). It's something that happened last Friday, January 20th, 2017.
If you read LwL for quite a while, you'll know that in December, a friend invited me to attend a women's group meeting at her church... The City Church, here in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Here's a link for you to check it out: http://www.thecitychurch.co/.
Yes, I had a wonderful time at the group meeting in December. So, my friend, N... invited me to attend for their January meeting.
I must admit, it was a wonderful meeting to attend!
Not just because it was great having a pot-luck dinner that we all contributed to... even though it was delicious!
Kim Freeman, was a wonderful speaker! What she discussed was not just true, it was absolutely wonderful hearing her!
My friend, N... sat beside me. On the other side of me, sat three (3) ladies that I knew, but hadn't seen in a very long time.
Well, to be honest, I had only seen the youngest lady when she was a little child! But, her mom and her aunt were people I had known when they were young children!
In fact, S and J's mom had been a friend of mine, for many years.
If you read LwL a long time ago, you'll know that my friend, their mom died.
I was to sing at their mom's funeral service. Since they didn't have a priest, minister or pastor to honour their mom and lead the funeral service, they asked me to do so. And, I did.
J had actually moved out west, in Canada. But, I found out she and her family moved back to Windsor, recently.
It turned out that a relative of theirs worships at The City Church, and had invited them to attend the women's meeting.
I asked Kim Freeman to come and speak with them, and she did.
Hopefully, they will think about attending, again in the future. And, possibly worshipping there, also.
I must admit, I felt truly blessed seeing everyone I knew, at that meeting. It was truly a blessing being there, and hearing Kim Freeman speak.
To me, it was truly a great gift from God.
This brought to mind, James 1:17, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."
Yes, every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
God gave that gift to me. I felt blessed.
Hopefully, everyone else there enjoyed their time at the women's gathering.
I pray this. And, believe that God will have made others feel blessed, as well.
Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
