I feel the need to discuss something, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL). It has to do with what happened in USA, last Friday, January 20th, 2017.
I'm referring to the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States of America (USA).
This day was also very special for Mike Pence, the new Vice-President of USA.
Here is a link for you to read about it, for both of them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inauguration_of_Donald_Trump.
To be honest, I watched part of the inauguration on television (TV). After all, it is truly a day of celebration.
However, due to having had to see the specialist regarding my unhealed abscess surgery and having to have nursing care, I wasn't able to do so for the whole day. I must admit, I felt bad not being able to see everything that happened.
I must admit that while watching part of the parade, it was good... and not good.
It was nice to see that Donald Trump and others walked outside their vehicle for a while, a couple of times. However, it was upsetting to see why they couldn't do it for a longer period of time, as some past-presidents had done.
I believe it happened this way, due to the fact that there were protesters in various areas in and around where the parade was done. Protesters who injured police and damaged places.
Here is a link by cnn.com entitled, Police injured, more than 200 arrested at Trump inauguration protests in DC: http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/19/politics/trump-inauguration-protests-womens-march/. Hopefully, you read the article and watched the video.
How awful was this?!
To me, it was absolutely terrible that protesters did what they did!
Not just because they protested. But, also because they damaged people and things.
Why would they do that?!
Hurting people and damaging buildings and vehicles certainly didn't have anything to do with what was happening on Inauguration Day.
In my opinion, those people who did that harm, are not Christian. If they were, they would not have done what they did.
Instead, they would look to God.
Just as we read, in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
Yes, if His people which are called by His name, humble themselves, and pray, and seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways, then He will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
I pray that those protesters, will become Christian. And, will repent... and turn from their wicked ways, like for what they did on Inauguration Day. For, if they do, their sin will be forgiven. And, God will heal their land, after they humble themselves, pray and seek Him.
Please, join me in prayer.
If you do, I know God will bless you.
Until next time...
