Before I begin today's Life with Lynnie (LwL) blog entry, I'd like to wish my grandson, S... Happy Birthday! I'm looking forward to celebrating your birthday with you and family! Happy Birthday!
Of course, today is our... day of worship. So, I'll go and worship with church family, as well.
Being our day of worship, I would like to share with you some music.
Here is a link to a YouTube music video by Hillsong entitled, Joy To The World: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDAUPz2RohU. If you click on the link, you'll be able to listen to and/or sing along. The lyrics are below.
Joy To The World
Joy to the world the Lord is come Let earth receive her King Let every heart prepare Him room And heaven and nature sing And heaven and nature sing
We will sing joy...
Joy to the world the Saviour reigns Let men their songs employ While fields and floods Rocks hills and plains Repeat the sounding joy Repeat the sounding joy
We will sing joy We will sing joy We will sing joy Joy to the world
He rules the world with truth and grace And makes the nations prove The glories of His righteousness And wonders of His love And wonders of His love
We will sing joy We will sing joy We will sing joy Joy to the world
We will sing joy We will sing joy We will sing joy Joy to the world
We will sing joy We will sing joy We will sing joy Joy to the world
We will sing joy We will sing joy We will sing joy Joy to the world
Hallelujah!
Joy... to the world.
Amen! Jesus was born!
Just as we read, in Luke 2:10-11, "And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."
Talk about joy!
It's truly a blessing that Jesus was born! After all, He came to earth to pay the price for the sin of the world, of all who believe upon Him.
I trust in/believe upon Jesus. So, I've gained salvation... and will have everlasting life. Yes, I'm joyful!
Have you gained salvation and everlasting life?
If not, come to Christ today. Trust in/believe upon Him, and you will be saved and will receive everlasting life. Plus, you will be joyful!
Before I begin today's Life with Lynnie (LwL) blog entry, I would like to let you know that today, is a special day for me... and my family.
Even though it was the anniversary day of one of my granddaughter's birth, it was also the day that she died.
Please know that I pray for my daughter, P... who also feels badly about her daughter/my granddaughter's death.
Knowing that this is the Saturday after we celebrated CHRISTmas, I decided to share something with you.
What is it?
CHRISTmas movies! And, a New Year movie!
Here are some CHRISTmas movies I watched:
* A Prince for Christmas, starring Viva Bianca, Kirk Barker and other actors. If you'd like to check out this comedy drama romance film, please click on this link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4648986/. I must admit, I enjoyed this movie!
* Surviving Christmas, starring Ben Affleck, Catherine O'Hara and other actors. Click on this link, to check out this American comedy romantic film: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surviving_Christmas. This movie was nice to watch!
* A Perfect Christmas List, starring Ellen Hollman, Beth Broderick, Aaron Hill and other actors. If you want to click on this link, you'll be able to check out this comedy drama family film: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4276834/. To me, it was a nice movie to see!
* The Bishop's Wife, starring Cary Grant, Loretta Young and David Niven. Would you like to check out this Samuel Goldwyn romantic comedy film? If so, please click on this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bishop%27s_Wife. If you know I've seen this in the past several times, I'm sure you'll realize I adore this movie. Especially, since it focused on our Lord!
* Holiday, starring Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant. Please click on this link, to check out this romantic comedy film: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holiday_(1938_film). Even though this movie is an old movie regarding New Year's Eve, I had was happy to have watched it, since I had never before seen it!
What a blessing it was to have watched movies regarding Christmas and New Year's Eve!
Of course, even though most of these movies didn't focus on our Lord, they certainly focused on a season.
That made me think of Ecclesiastes 3:1, "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:"
Amen! To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the Heaven.
God has a purpose for us. He has a plan for each of us.
If you belong to Him, you'll truly be blessed.
I belong to Him.
Do you?
If you want to belong to Him, trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ. Then, you'll gain salvation, and will have a relationship with Jesus.
Then, you'll be blessed!
Until next time...

There is something I believe I need to discuss, here on Lifewith Lynnie (LwL).
It's something that I thought was absolutely a blessing!
What is it?
It's about how a Muslim, became Christian... and is now a Pastor.
Praise God! Hallelujah!
How did I find out about this?
I found it by accident, on YouTube. I didn't look for it. It just showed up, by accident.
Even so, it was truly a blessing hearing what Pastor Mohammed spoke about.
Please click on the YouTube link, to watch and/or listen to the video entitled, Pastor Mohammed, Arab Ex Muslim... Best life story & Testimony (subtitles): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zJ872BPZzw.
I hope you clicked on the link and watched and listened to the video. I realize it wasn't a short video. However, it was truly a blessing.
He let everyone know how he was Muslim, but came to know/love Jesus and became Christian. He told us about his life, his marriage and his family. Plus, what God led him to do.
He mentioned about being persecuted. And, let us all know that he felt the same as I do... because, when we are truly doing all for Christ, we will be persecuted.
He mentioned that he realizes he is ready to die. Just as I feel.
He let us know that he does what he can do to love others. Just as I do.
So, I know for certain that he had truly become a born-again Christian. Just as he mentioned, for we seem to be very similar evangelists.
Pastor Mohammed quoted some Bible verses. Verses that each and every Christian needs to know about and think of, on a regular basis.
I enjoyed hearing Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
Amen! We need to let our light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.
Would you like to shine your light before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven?
I do.
Why?
Because I belong to Him. I gained salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.
If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday, you'll know that I mentioned about how I celebrated CHRISTmas with my church family.
Today, I'm going to let you know about how I celebrated CHRISTmas with my family.
On CHRISTmas Eve, I met with my daughter, B and some of her family. Not all were there.
However, I should mention that I had previously spent a bit of time with a couple of her adult children and gave them their CHRISTmas gifts.
Even though all family wasn't there at B's home, to me it was a wonderful time, together. Thank you, B! Thank you, L! Thank you, J!
On CHRISTmas Day, I spoke by phone to some family who do not live where I do. Plus, I saw a couple of friends.
Then, I made my way to my daughter, P's home.
Unfortunately, not all her family members were able to join us. Even so, I had received a text from my grandson, D... wishing me Merry CHRISTmas! Thank you, D! I thank P, K, Z and S for celebrating CHRISTmas, with me!
Something happened that was a surprise to me. I'll explain to you why this happened.
You see, my daughter P's birthday was December 19th. Normally, we would get together and celebrate her birthday. But, we couldn't.
P hasn't been all that well. And, since I had a terrible cold, and could hardly talk, we didn't want to be together, for we didn't want P to obtain what I was experiencing. Even so, I know that she celebrated with her family members. For this, I'm thankful!
After we ate a delicious CHRISTmas dinner together, we decided to open CHRISTmas gifts given to each other. But, something happened.
In addition to having CHRISTmas gifts to open, P also brought out the birthday gifts I had given her. She hadn't even opened them up on her birthday. Sigh... This made me sad and happy.
Sad, because P hadn't been able to celebrate her birthday with me and the rest of her family.
Happy, because we were celebrating Jesus' birthday, and P's birthday!
Thank You, Lord! This was truly a day for me to rejoice.
Thinking that this Bible verse doesn't really relate to this setting of celebrating birthdays, I still thought of Psalms 118:24, "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."... for it truly related to me.
Amen!
This was the day which the Lord hath made! We will rejoice and be glad in it!
Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll let you know about what I did regarding CHRISTmas!
On Friday, December 15th, 2017... I met with other Christian brothers and sisters, and our Pastor, Brad.
Together, we went out around the neighbourhood and sang CHRISTmas carols to people at their homes. And, gave them information about worshiping and... candy canes!
On Sunday, December 24th, 2017... CHRISTmas Eve, we worshiped. And, celebrated Jesus' birth!
Like normal after the worship service, together we had a CHRISTmas dinner.
Afterwards, Pastor Brad gave each of us gifts. This truly surprised me. I never expected that to happen, but it did. Thank you, Pastor!
I must admit, that I was glad I had brought him a CHRISTmas gift!
It truly was such a wonderful time together!
Our time together was a true blessing to me. For I was able to spend time with church family and feeling like we were truly family, because we all love our Lord, Jesus!
Thinking of how my need has been supplied, by having a wonderful church family, I thought of Philippians 4:19, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
Amen! Just as I said previously, God supplied all my need, according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus!
Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be sharing something with you.
It's something that I thought was interesting. It was regarding the night before CHRISTmas!
Here is what I saw written and posted on Facebook (FB):
Twas the Night Before Jesus Came
‘Twas the night before Jesus came and all through the house Not a creature was praying, not one in the house. Their Bibles were lain on the shelf without care In hopes that Jesus would not come there.
The children were dressing to crawl into bed, Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head. And Mom in her rocker with baby on her lap Was watching the Late Show while I took a nap.
When out of the East there arose such a clatter, I sprang to my feet to see what was The matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash!
When what to my wondering eyes should appear But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here. With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray I knew in a moment this must be The Day!
The light of His face made me cover my head It was Jesus! Returning just like He had said. And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself.
In the Book of Life which He held in His Hand Was written the name of every saved man. He spoke not a word as He searched for my name; When He said "It's not here" My head hung in shame!
The people whose names had been written with love He gathered to take to His Father above. With those who were ready He rose without a sound While all the rest were left standing around.
I fell to my knees, but it was too late; I had waited too long and this sealed my fate. I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight; Oh, if only I had been ready tonight.
In the words of this poem the meaning is clear; The coming of Jesus is drawing near. There's only one life and when comes the last call We'll find that the Bible was true after ALL! <3 span="">3>;)
Source unknown
How wonderful!
It's speaking about truth! Biblical truth!
Much like we read in John 17:17, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."
Amen! Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy Word is truth!
Do you read the Bible?
Hopefully, you do.
I do.
In fact, I read the whole Bible, each and every year.
If you don't yet read the Bible, please do so.
Begin reading it, so that you'll feel that you will be able to read the whole Bible before the end of next year.
Of course, please realize you'll be blessed!
Until next time...

Thank You, Lord!
Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), you'll realize that I believe today, is a special day!
It's our Lord's Day! The day when we Christians worship!
As you know, I also enjoy worshiping through music.
Today, is a SONday in December that is known as Christmas Eve. So, it's time when I feel it's important to share with you music regarding Christmas! Just as I've said in the past.
The music I'm sharing with you today, is on YouTube and is entitled, Silent Night. Here's a link for you to listen to and/or sing along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9T4WB2zfmps. The lyrics are below.
Silent Night
Silent night, holy night! All is calm, all is bright Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child Holy infant so tender and mild Sleep in heavenly peace Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night, holy night! Son of God love's pure light Radiant beams from Thy holy face With dawn of redeeming grace Jesus Lord, at Thy birth Jesus Lord, at Thy birth
Silent night, holy night! Shepherds quake at the sight Glories stream from heaven afar Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia Christ the Savior is born! Christ the Savior is born
Whenever I think of Silent Night, I think of my deceased husband, who liked it so much. It was one of his favourite Christmas Carols.
I also think of a friend of mine, who died. I will let you know more about it in the future, here on LwL.
I attended her funeral, and she had planned in advance some music to be played and/or sung. Silent Night, was some music played and sung.
Of course, I mostly think of Christ, our Saviour, who was born!
Amen! Jesus was born!
This just didn't happen without people knowing it would happen.
The Old Testament portion of God's Word, the Bible prophesied about many things. Including the birth of our Lord, Jesus, who would be known with many names.
Just as we read, in Isaiah 9:6, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
Amen! The prophecy was fulfilled! The prediction of Jesus birth, happened!
Event though no one truly knows when Jesus' birthday is, I'm grateful that we who love Him, can honour Him by celebrating Christmas.
Today, I will let you know about some things, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).
Since it's close to CHRISTmas, I decided to share with you some movies I've watched. Movies concerning... CHRISTmas!
Here they are:
* A Perfect Christmas List, starring Ellen Hollman, Aaron Hill and other actors. If you'd like to click on this link, you can check out this comedy-drama film: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4276834/. Just so you know, this movie is available to be seen on YouTube; here's a link for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYinALp7XzY.
* The 12 Dogs of Christmas, starring Jordan-Claire Green, Tom Kemp and other actors. To check out this family film, click on this link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0405615/. This movie was lovely to watch.
* It's a Wonderful Life, starring James Stewart, Donna Reed and other actors. Would you like to check out this American Christmas fantasy comedy-drama film? If so, please click on this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_a_Wonderful_Life. I must admit that I adore this movie, because it relates to God!
* National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, starring Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo and Randy Quaid. Please, click on this link, to check out this American Christmas comedy film: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Lampoon%27s_Christmas_Vacation. To me, this is a wonderful comedy film!
* Scrooge, starring Alastair Sim, Mervyn Johns and other actors. Check out this British fantasy drama film by clicking on this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrooge_(1951_film). To me, this movie is worth watching, over and over again.
Even though these films do not relate solely to our Lord, Jesus Christ's birth, some relate to God in various ways. And, they relate in a way... to CHRISTmas. This makes me happy.
I have to admit, that most of these movies truly touch my heart.
Much like CHRISTmas does... when I think of Jesus' birth.
It made me think about Isaiah 9:6, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
Amen! Unto us... a child was born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder; and His name shall be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Jesus is truly wonderful to me. And, always will be.
Although Santa Claus is a mythical figure, his creation is based in part on a great Christian man named Saint Nicholas of Myra, who lived in the 4th century. Nicholas was born to Christian parents who left him an inheritance when they died, which he distributed to the poor. He became a priest at a young age and was well-known for his compassion and generosity. He had a reputation for giving gifts anonymously, and he would throw bags of money into people's homes (and sometimes down their chimneys) under the cover of night to avoid being spotted.
Nicholas passed away on December 6 sometime around the 340s or 350s AD, and the day of his death became an annual feast in which children would put out food for Nicholas and straw for his donkey. It was said that the saint would come down from heaven during the night and replace the offerings with toys and treats—but only for the good boys and girls. There are many different versions of the legend of Saint Nicholas, but all are the inspiration for the jolly, red-suited gift-giver that we now know as Santa Claus.
Many Christian parents are torn as to whether or not they should play the "Santa game" with their children. On one hand, he makes Christmas fun and magical, leaving wonderful holiday memories for years to come. On the other hand, the focus of Christmas should be on Jesus Christ and how much He has already given us. So, is the story of Santa Claus an innocent addition to Christmas festivities, or is he a subject that should be avoided?
Parents need to use their own judgment in deciding whether or not to include Santa during the holidays, but here are some things to consider: Children who believe that the gifts they receive Christmas morning are from a magical man with unending resources are less likely to appreciate what they have been given, and the sacrifices their parents make in providing them. Greed and materialism can overshadow the holiday season, which is meant to be about giving, loving, and worshiping God. Children whose parents are on a tight budget may feel that they have been overlooked by Santa, or even worse, deemed one of the "bad" boys or girls.
An even more troubling aspect of telling our children that Santa comes down the chimney each year to leave their gifts is that it is, obviously, a lie. We live in a society that believes that lying for the "right" reason is acceptable. As long as it doesn't hurt anyone, it is not a problem. This is contrary to what the Bible tells us. "For the Scriptures say, 'If you want to live a happy life and good days, keep your tongue from speaking evil, and keep your lips from telling lies'" (1 Peter 3:10, Of course, telling our children that Santa is real is not a malicious deception, but it is, nevertheless, a lie.
Although it is probably not typical, some children honestly feel deceived and betrayed by their parents when they find out that Santa is not real. Children trust their parents to tell them the truth, and it is our responsibility not to break this trust. If we do, they will not believe more important things we tell them, such as the truth about Christ, whom they also cannot physically see.
This doesn’t mean we must leave Santa completely out of Christmas. Children can still play the "Santa game" even if they know it is all pretend. They can make lists, sit on his lap at the mall, and leave out cookies and milk on Christmas Eve. This will not rob them of their joy of the season, and gives parents the opportunity to tell their children about the godly qualities of the real Saint Nicholas, who dedicated his life to serving others and made himself into a living example of Jesus Christ.
Aww... how amazing! How truthful!
Thank you, Mark Grosse!
Saint Nicholas definitely did secret gift giving, just as you can read in this link entitled, Saint Nicholas: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Nicholas. It was known as Sinterklaas.
This was done to honour our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Please realize that even though some people speak about Santa Claus, those who do, should actually explain about what Santa Claus/Sinterklaas was set up to do for people... honouring Jesus' birthday!
Without doing this, speaking a lie, can be true.
But, by doing this, people can then teach children truth about celebrating our Lord, Jesus Christ's birthday.
And, so can we, who want to speak about Jesus while celebrating His birthday.
For this, I am thankful. Even though many people think we shouldn't honour Jesus, by celebrating His birthday and giving gifts to others.
I do. After all, Jesus was born.
Just as we read, in Luke 2:11, "For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."
Amen! Christ the Lord, our Saviour was born!
Even though we truly do not know what the actual date is when He was born. He was truly born!
He came to earth, to pay the price for the sin of world, of all who trust in/believe upon Him. By doing this, He has become the Saviour of all who trust in/believe upon Him. Just as we read, in various parts of the Bible.
So please realize that even though no one truly knows when Jesus' birthday is, it is good to at least use a date that people around the world use, like December 25th, or January 6th, 7th or 19th, as discussed on Wikipedia. Click on this link, to read about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas.
By doing this, we can then wish Jesus... Happy Birthday!
By doing this, we can speak/teach people about Jesus and His birthday!
By doing this, we can give gifts to family, friends and/or others, in an effort to honour Jesus' birthday, since we can't give Him a gift.
By doing this, we can honour our Lord, Jesus Christ.
From time to time, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll share things with you. Just as I'm doing, today!
Recently, a friend shared a YouTube video with me. It's by Wild Bill for America and is entitled, "Sugar Cookie Christians". Here's the link, for you to click on, to watch and listen to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJMcI6IJzLk.
Hopefully, you clicked on the link and listened/watched the video.
If you did, you'll know that Wild Bill... spoke about how he speaks about Biblical truth.
To me, when he mentioned about speaking about Biblical truth, it truly touched my heart.
Why?
Because, even though some people don't agree, I believe it is correct to speak about Biblical truth. Just as I do, here on LwL.
Yes, I realize that someone I have known for many, many years doesn't agree.
I've been told by that person that I don't speak truth.
To me, that is a lie. It's not truth, what was said to me in messages from that lifelong 'friend' from time to time.
Yet, I've been accused by that friend...of not speaking truth. Even though I truly have.
You see, when I speak/write regarding truth, I am doing so regarding the Word of God.
Thinking of this, made me think of 2 Timothy 2:15, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Amen! I have studied to show myself approved unto God... and He loves me.
I do not need to be ashamed, as I do work for God, even by writing these LwL blog entries.
People around the world read what I write. Since there are people reading in countries where our God, our Lord, Jesus Christ... and our Holy Spirit are not truly known by many people, there are some people that I believe are learning about God. And, may have, or may in the future... gain salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.
So, because I am rightly dividing the word of truth, I believe God will continue to have me here. And, I'll be able to continue to share LwL with you, and all other people, who decide to read the daily blog entries.
After all, my health hasn't been good. And, God could have taken me home, in many situations.
But, He hasn't. He still has me here, doing His work.
If you've read Life with Lynnie (LwL) over the past couple of days, and last week, you'll know that people met in front of Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), on Monday, December 11th, 2017 in a protest.
As you would have read, we who attended the protest, sang songs.
Today, I'm sharing with you the last song we sang. We actually sang it several times. Not just, once.
The song was entitled, Jingle Bells (Listen Wynne). The lyrics are below (I re-typed everything from the pages we received).
Jingle Bells (Listen Wynne)
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells Jingle all the way Oh what fun it is to ride On a one horse open sleigh - Hey!
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells Jingle all the way Oh what fun it is to ride On a one horse open sleigh
Dashing through the Board Grabbing rebate cash How the bosses moan "Premiums are too high"! Bells of Liberals ring Making promise bright Oh what fun to slash and *deem Workers' cheques tonight! - Hey!
Listen Wynne, listen Wynne Listen all the way! Do not take us for a ride On a cost reduction sleigh - Hey!
Listen Wynne, listen Wynne Listen all the way! Do not take us for a ride On a cost reduction sleigh
Dashing through my work I fell and broke my arm I put a claim into the Board To shelter me from harm Imagine my alarm The Board it did decide "Your arm it was *already old Your claim has been denied!" - Oh!
What a shame, what a shame Greed has changed the game Injured workers hurt at work Are not the ones to blame - No!
Workers Comp is a right Justice all the way Do not cut our benefits Fair Workers Comp today! - Hey!
It stated (I re-typed) on the page:
*Already old - the WSIB now uses 'pre-existing conditions' such as 'age', or even childhood injury, to claim you were not in fact hurt at work, even if these conditions never caused you any pain or impairments ever before. Don't cut benefits based on 'pre-existing conditions'!
Feel free to re-read yesterday's LwL entry, if you want to re-read what *deem referred to.
Yes, as you probably realize, injured workers' are quite often hurt. Not just by being injured while working. But, also by not being treated properly through the WSIB system that is being changed over and over, over many years, to not provide as well, for injured workers.
Talk about sin!
Yes, everyone is or has been a sinner... until they came to Christ, trusted in/believed upon Him, and gained salvation. Then, the person repents.
It seems to me that WSIB sins. WSIB seems to not want to help injured workers', even though they claim they do.
To me, that's a lie! A form of sin.
Thinking about this, made me think of 1 John 1:8, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."
Amen! If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Just like what I believe WSIB does.
Please... pray.
Pray for those who become injured while working.
Pray for family of a worker who died, while injured at work.
Pray for those who are supporting and encouraging injured workers'.
Pray that WSIB will change back to like WCB was in the past, so that injured workers' can be treated better.
Before I begin today's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I would like to wish my daughter, P... Happy Birthday! I'm looking forward to seeing you, and celebrating your birthday. Happy Birthday!
If you read LwL yesterday, you'll know that both injured workers and people in support of injured workers, met in front of Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) in protest of what they are doing to those who were injured while working at their job.
You'll also know that we sang a song entitled, We're Dreaming (Of Fair Compensation). The lyrics are below (I re-typed the information shown here that was printed on the pages we received).
We're Dreaming (Of Fair Compensation)
We're dreaming of fair compensation Just like the times we used to know When our *doctors were listened to And benefits given To injured workers long ago
We're dreaming of an end to *deeming With every battle that we fight Stop pretending we're earning Stop slashing and burning Our compensation - it's our right
No more dreaming of fair compensation For injured workers - don't delay No more cuts in benefit pay Give us fair compensation today!
*Doctors - the WSIB often ignores injured workers' doctors. Instead they use the opinion of private 'paper doctors' who never meet you. WSIB must listen to injured workers' doctors!
*Deeming is when the WSIB says you could have a job, even though you don't, and even if you can't find anyone to hire you. They cut your benefits by the amount of the wage they think you 'could' be earning (but are no earning, and probably never will be). In essence, they create a "phantom job" for you that you don't have. End deeming - no cuts based on phantom jobs!
To me, it's unfortunate that injured workers suffer. Not just from being injured while working.
Injured workers' also suffer because they are treated badly by WSIB, and are defiled. Violated.
Thinking of this made me think of Mark 7:20-23, "And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man."
Amen! Jesus said that which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the man.
Absolutely, injured workers are defiled.
As I'm sure you realize, I believe injured workers are not always treated properly. They are treated badly like some of what was stated in today's Bible verse, even though not by everything.
Evil thoughts; thefts by income being taken away; covetousness meaning how WSIB desires injured workers' possessions; wickedness... as how injured workers' are sometimes treated; deceit... meaning being lied about are evil things that happen to injured workers and make them defiled. Violated.
Please... pray.
Pray for people who have been injured while working.
Pray for families of those who died while being injured while working.
Pray for God to help and heal all who need healing.
Pray for all who are in support of injured workers'.
Pray that God will change WSIB, and make them help injured workers'... always.
If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) last week, you'll know that I met with other people in support of Injured Workers.
Yes, we met in front of Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), that used to be called Workers Compensation Board (WCB), and was more supportive of injured workers then it is now as called WSIB.
As I mentioned previously, about 40 people met together.
In addition, workers from Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), here in Windsor, Ontario, Canada met with us. Yes, they filmed part of our group meeting.
On the news that evening, CBC talked about what we did, to support Injured Workers.
However, later... CBC placed an article online, with a video. The article is entitled, Union 'carolers' perform songs in support of injured workers outside WSIB building. Please, click on this link, to read the article and watch the video: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/windsor/carol-windsor-injured-workers-1.4443744.
Even though CBC thought we were all union people, I want you to know that isn't true. I'm not. Not everyone there was, even though we injured workers were supported by union members.
Hopefully, you clicked on the link I shared with you, read the article and watched the video.
If you did, you'll know that the article stated (I copied/pasted):
Activists say workers compensation systems are failed and they would also like to see change to health and safety codes.
A petition calling for the better treatment of workers was being signed at the rally. Once it's gathered enough signatures it will be presented at Queen's Park. Windsor was one of eight cities to host a protest today.
Oooeee!
Eight cities hosted a protest! Hallelujah!
If you watched the video, you'll know that we sang a different version of what was called... HolidayCarol (not Christmas Carol), that was entitled, Deck the Halls (With Workers' Rights). The lyrics are below.
Deck the Halls (With Workers' Rights)
Deck the halls with workers' rights Fa la la la la la la la la We won't have a silent night Fa la la la la la la la la Phantom jobs, we must be dreaming Fa la la la la la la la la Time to put an end to *deeming Fa la la la la la la la la
See our benefits cut before us Fa la la la la la la la la Fake retraining, no jobs for us Fa la la la la la la la la Numbers crunched in merry measure Fa la la la la la la la la Employers grab the stolen treasure Fa la la la la la la la la
Getting injured is no circus Fa la la la la la la la la Benefits should be for workers Fa la la la la la la la la Fast away the old year rushes Fa la la la la la la la la Hail the new, and fight for justice! Fa la la la la la la la la
As the lyrics form stated (I typed it so you can understand):
*Deeming is when the WSIB says you could have a job, even though you don't, and even if you can't find anyone to hire you. They cut your benefits by the amount of the wage they think you 'could' be earning (but are not earning, and probably never will be). In essence, they create a "phantom job" for you that you don't have. End deeming - no cuts based on phantom jobs!
Sigh...
Talk about sinfulness.
Hopefully, you feel the same way I do. For, how could anyone think this is good what WSIB does, when it hurts people?
After all, they claim that they want to help people who are injured workers. Yet, they truly do not.
Proof that what WSIB does is sinful, we can read, in James 4:17, "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin."
Amen!
To him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him... it is sin.
Please pray.
Pray for people who were injured while working, meaning they became injured workers.
Pray for families of people who died while being injured at work.
Pray for those who are not injured workers, who are in support of those who are injured workers.
And, please.. pray that our government will make WSIB to do what should be done to help injured workers.
Today, is a typical day here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).
Well, in some ways it's special, since it's SONday, and worship is important. But, by worshiping on this day, with church family, and through music, it's rather typical! :)
As in the past, I'm sharing some YouTube music with you. This music is entitled, Hark The Herald Angels Sing. Here is a link for you to click on, so you can listen to and/or sing along with this CHRISTmas music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCt1s44cfMM. The lyrics are below.
Hark The Herald Angels Sing
Hark! the herald angels sing
Glory to the new-born King
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled
Joyful, all ye nations, rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With angelic host proclaim
Christ is born in Bethlehem
Hark! the herald angels sing
Glory to the new-born King
Christ, by highest heaven adored
Christ, the everlasting Lord
Late in time behold him come
Offspring of the Virgin's womb
Hail the Flesh, the God Head see
Hail the incarnate Deity
Pleased as man with man to dwell
Jesus, our Emmanuel!
Hark! the herald angels sing
Glory to the new-born King
Hail the Heaven-born Prince of Peace
Hail the Son of Righteousness
Light and life to all He brings
Risen with healing in His wings
Mild He lays His Glory by
Born that man no more may die
Born to raise the sons of earth
Born to give them second birth
Hark! the herald angels sing
Glory to the new-born King
Glory to the King Glory to the King Sing glory to the new-born King
Glory to the King Glory to the King Sing glory to the new-born King
Glory to the King Glory to the King Sing glory to the new-born King
Glory to the King Glory to the King Sing glory to the new-born King
Joyful, all ye nations, rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With angelic host proclaim
Christ is born in Bethlehem
Hark! the herald angels sing
Glory to the new-born King
Sing glory to the new-born King... JESUS!
Amen! Glory is so very important.
We need to give glory! Glory to the new-born King, our Lord, Jesus Christ. Glory to the Holy Spirit. And, glory to God, the Father, who created the plan of redemption that brought Jesus to earth!
Thinking of glory, made me think of Luke 2:14, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."
Amen! Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men!
I praise God our Father... and give Him glory! I praise and give glory, to our Lord Jesus! Plus, I praise and give glory, to our Holy Spirit!
Do you have any idea what I'll be discussing, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL)?
In case you can't think of it, I'll let you know.
Movies!
Here are some movies I've watched:
* The Silencers, starring Dean Martin, Stella Stevens and Daliah Lavi. To check out this American spy film spoof motion picture, click on this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Silencers_(film). I enjoyed watching this movie.
* Murderers' Row, starring Dean Martin, Ann-Margret and Karl Malden. If you'd like to check out this American comedy spi-fi film, click here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murderers%27_Row_(film). Even though I truly didn't laugh, I enjoyed this movie.
* The Ambushers, starring Dean Martin, Senta Burger and Janice Rule. Would you like to check out this spy comedy film? If so, please click on this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ambushers_(film). Watching this movie, was good.
* The Wrecking Crew, starring Dean Martin, Elke Sommer and other actors. Please click on this link, to check out this American comedy spi-fi film: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wrecking_Crew_(1968_film). Again, I can say that I enjoyed this movie.
* That's My Boy, starring Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis and other actors. Click on this link, to check out this comedy film: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/That%27s_My_Boy_(1951_film). Even though I didn't truly laugh, I enjoyed this movie.
As you may have read, I didn't truly laugh watching each of these movies. But, there were times when I did laugh.
Even so, I sometimes felt badly, even though I laughed.
Thinking about laughter made me think of Proverbs 14:13, "Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness."
Amen! Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful, and the end of that mirth is heaviness.
That's like I felt even when I did laugh. For I felt badly thinking about the situations that I laughed at in those movies, for they weren't all good.
But, God is good.
And, He is there for us, always.
At least, for those of us who belong to Him.
I belong to Him.
Do you?
All you need to do is to trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, and you'll gain salvation. Yes, you will then belong to Him.
Hopefully, you clicked on the link and read the article. In case you couldn't, I am sharing some of what was stated (I copied/pasted):
The story of Tania Georgelas and her husband John unfolded across four continents, but it is one of the most American stories I have ever heard. Stop me if this one is familiar: John, a Texan from a wealthy Christian family, converted to Islam as a teenager and 13 years later ascended to the high echelons of the Islamic State. In London, along the way, he married Tania, a native-born Muslim with ambitions of becoming a suicide bomber. They had four kids, and together they fantasized about becoming a family of itinerant holy warriors, a sort of Islamic version of the Von Trapps, substituting slaughter of infidels for Alpine showtunes. In 2013, they went to Syria, hoping to make it into ISIS territory. Only John succeeded. He will probably die there.
If this sounds to you more like an anti-American story than an American one, the fate of Tania and her kids might change your mind. After weeks in Syria, she and kids ditched John and returned to Plano, Texas—home of John’s parents—in late 2013. She and the kids left Syria by slipping through a barbed-wire fence into Turkey. On arrival in Istanbul, she was exhausted. (If you’ve ever dragged kids through an airport terminal, imagine doing the same punishing journey, but under sniper fire.) John’s parents rescued them and brought them back to Plano.
It also stated this (I copied/pasted):
The physical distance between the couple seems to have broken John’s spell over his wife. Once compliant, she sought and obtained a divorce, uncontested, and stopped praying. She remade herself into a Texas society woman, so thoroughly adopting the ways of her new home that only her accent reveals her as non-native. From the way she dresses, you’d think she spent the last decade reading Italian Vogue, not the Koran. She goes to concerts. In lieu of a mosque, she attends a Unitarian church. In lieu of a jihadist cleric husband, she has Craig, a boyfriend from Minnesota, who squires her around to the wine bars and bistros of the north Dallas suburbs. Craig makes good money in IT, and although he was raised Christian, he is now a spiritual searcher, ready to sample any faith tradition except, perhaps, his predecessor’s.
Wow!
This story is truly amazing.
To me, not just because the woman, who was originally Muslim, is living in Texas, USA and is no longer worshipping as a Muslim. It's amazing to me, that her husband who claimed to be Christian converted to Islam. And, is helping ISIS... which is truly a group of Muslims who are doing what their god wants them to do.
It's also amazing to me that the article states that the woman's boyfriend who claimed to be Christian, is now a spiritual searcher who is ready to ample any faith tradition.
Sigh...
This truly shows us that life isn't good.
After all, there are some people who truly aren't born again, yet claim to be true Christians in this world, even though they truly haven't gained salvation.
If they had been truly Christian, those people would never have exited from Christianity, for our Lord, is the most important Person in our lives.
Hopefully, you believe what I am saying, is true.
After all, you need to understand what we were told in Luke 6:45-49, "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. 46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? 47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: 48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. 49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great."
Amen! A good man would bring forth that which is good, while an evil man would bring forth that which is evil.
Why would anyone call Him Lord, Lord, and not do the things which He says?
This shows you that anyone who was truly Christian, would be born again... saved... by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, and would do only good things in their life, honouring Jesus.
I must admit that it truly breaks my heart that there are people who claim they are Christian, mainly because their family heritage included Christianity, but yet, they do not live as a true Christian, so they probably are not. Some people like this claim to be Christian... yet, they don't worship, they don't read the Bible, they do not live according to what we learn He expects of us.
I am Christian.
Are you?
If you do not gain salvation, you will not spend eternity in Heaven with my Lord after your life ends here on earth, just as I will do.
Instead, you will spend eternity in Hell, separated from God... with NO chance of escape.
Hopefully, I'll see you in Heaven, after our lives end, here on earth once you've become born again, and gained salvation, just as I have done.
Hopefully, you clicked on the link and read what was stated. If not, please read about it (I copied/pasted):
WASHINGTON, D.C., November 27, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – A new video of the White House’s Christmas decorations shows a beautiful traditional nativity set with a baby Jesus in a manger. The White House's 2017 nativity set. “The White House at Christmas traditionally has been a magical place for children,” The White House Historical Association explains. Since the 1800s, the White House has been home to Christmas trees (except under conservationist Teddy Roosevelt), elaborate decorations, and many Christmas parties and festivities.
A video released by First Lady Melania Trump shows Christmas trees, lights, bows, cookies, and ornaments decorating the White House for the Trumps’ first Christmas there.
The video zooms in on the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, and baby Jesus of the White House nativity set. Baby Jesus is crowned.
Praise God!
Yes, I copied the whole article, except for the video that was there. So, in case you weren't able to click on the video on the article, I decided to share the video that is actually on YouTube; it's entitled, 2017 Christmas Decoration in White House: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=W3cyw2DdPtc.
What a blessing this is! Hallelujah!
After all, everyone needs to honour our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Just as we read, in 1 Peter 3:15, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:"
Amen! We need to honour and bless our Lord. And, we need to give an answer to every man that asks a reason of the hope that is in us, with meekness and fear.
After all, JesusIS our reason of hope!
Even though some people don't believe that the American President, Donald Trump is Christian, I believe that he has gained salvation. Why do I think this? He and his wife, are honouring Jesus and showing that Jesus is the reason of hope.
Plus, Donald Trump and Mike Pence (the Vice President, who is definitely a born again Christian)... are doing all for others, by supporting what God expects from those who love Him.
Plus, the White House is set up to focus on Jesus' birth.
For this, I'm truly happy... even though I am Canadian and not American.
I'll let you know, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), that I attended with a group outside of Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), on Monday, December 11th, 2017.
WSIB was formerly Workers' Compensation Board (WCB). WCB actually helped injured workers, more than WSIB does, today.
Sigh...
Even so, about 40 of us who support injured workers, met and held signs showing what we thought people needed to read. Here are pictures of both sides of the sign I held and showed to cars driving by where we were.
There were other signs with various messages, but I didn't get pictures of them all.
However, I did take a few pictures of some of our group. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of everyone who attended the protest at WSIB. Even so, I am sharing one picture with you.
This picture is rather unique.
Not just because of some of the people who protested together at WSIB. This picture also shows a cane I brought from which I could use to sit on. :)
I brought that cane with the seat, because even though it was extremely cold, I couldn't stand up for the whole hour we were there. This way, I sat off and on near the side of the road, so that drivers could read the messages that I showed you, earlier.
To me, it was truly a blessing having about 40 people attend this protest. Especially, since not everyone who attended was an injured worker. Some were those who support injured workers.
Thinking of people supporting injured workers, made me think of Acts 20:35, "I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive."
Amen! Those who were with us, support the weak... injured workers. What they have done is truly a blessing, for they are doing for others and not receiving for themselves.
For this, I am truly thankful.
Thank you... each person who came and supported injured workers at the protest in front of the building where WSIB is located. May God bless you.
I thank God, for He put it on the hearts and minds of those who came to support injured workers, at the protest of WSIB. He is truly wonderful!
I feel I want to let you know here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) about what I've done. And, what I didn't do.
Last Thursday, I was feeling so worn out. I had done everything physically that I thought I could do. Only, it was worse on me, than I thought it would be.
In the late afternoon, I went to my Chiropractor's office, and had my chiropractic care/treatment. For this, I was truly happy. Thank you, Dr. Gemel! Thank You, Lord!
Feeling that I truly needed to rest, I drove home. Then, I relaxed for the evening. And, slept well.
However, in the morning, when I awoke, I realized that I had missed the meeting with Injured Workers group. :'(
Sigh...
I must admit, I felt badly.
Knowing that on Friday, I still wasn't feeling great, I did what I felt I needed to do. But, then in the evening, I met with some fellow Christians.
We met at McDonald's in downtown Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The city where we live.
The reason for meeting there, was because we were all going to go out and give hats, gloves, socks, food, etc. to those who were homeless.
However, just as before, I didn't feel well. No, it's not that I'm sick. I was still hurting badly, physically.
So, instead of going with those fellow Christians, I gave them the items I brought with me. They took them, and gave a lot to those who they found who were homeless. There was still some left over, that will be given out another time, shortly.
For this, I was truly thankful!
On SONday, I did the same thing. I brought with me, items that I had packaged up, and brought them to the worship service I mentioned yesterday.
I praise God that some people who were homeless, attended that worship service. Plus, some people who were not well off, were there. Including some people who were being supported by the local mission.
There were enough things, that just as with my fellow Christians from Friday evening, there was still enough items to be given out, in the near future.
I've focused mostly upon my Lord, who helps me, always. Every day, He helps me even as I am greatly hurting, physically.
Again, all I can say is that for this, I am truly thankful.
After all, I haven't been focusing much about things happening to me, here on earth. I've been focusing on the need of others.
Thinking of this, made me think of Colossians 3:2, "Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth."
Amen! We need to set our affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
We need to focus on things God would want us to do.
Just as I've found myself doing lately. Even though I am feeling physically, worse.
Knowing that He's helped me, I'm thankful. And, always will be.
I feel I want to let you know here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), about what I've done lately.
Well, I'll let you know a little bit. :)
After being busy a lot, I attended Bible study on Wednesday evening. It was a wonderful time. I must admit, I appreciated being there.
Yes, it was held by Pastor Brad, and some of the people I've met and/or have known who are worshiping on SONdays, attended the Bible study, as well! I was happy!
For many years, I attended Bible study, but for a while now, I hadn't. After all, I wasn't sure where I would worship, so I hadn't decided where to attend Bible study.
But, now... I know... and will do what I should do, with all who participate.
Thank You, Lord! I appreciate being led to worship with the Bible Community Church group.
Just as I did yesterday, again
Of course, after the service was done, we all enjoyed having dinner, together. Just as we had done so much in the past, as I previously told you. To me, this is a true celebration.
However, there was a large group of people. 44 people worshiped, and enjoyed dinner, together!
A few people also came to Christ, and gained salvation.
For this, I was so happy!
After all, some fellow Christians, Pastor Brad... and I usually tell people about Acts 16:31, "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Just as I've mentioned here on LwL, in the past.
It was such a blessing seeing that within this church family group of worshippers, new people coming to worship are gaining salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ!
This was truly a blessing!
Within a few weeks, there will be several people getting baptized. For this, I am also truly happy.
Happy for those who are gaining salvation. Happy for Pastor Brad, who is helping people to come to Christ. Happy for my church family, who is supportive.
Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I doubt if you will be surprised when I let you know that today is a special day. It's our Lord's Day!
Yes, we need to worship. I do. Hopefully, you do.
Of course, as I've said in the past, I also enjoy worshiping through music!
A Facebook (FB) friend shared a YouTube music video with me, that I thought was rather unique. Although it has music that I'm sure everyone will recognize, the lyrics are different.
Here is a link for the music video that is entitled, Jesus Saves (to tune - Jingle Bells with lyrics): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAx079UDgGs. If you click on it, you will be able to see the lyrics and enjoy the music and/or sing along. The lyrics are below.
Jesus Saves
The world belongs to God He spoke and there it was Though it was very good It all went bad because The man that God had made And the woman there with him Turned their back on God to get A deadly taste of sin.
But... Jesus saves! Jesus saves! Jesus is the way Jesus is the Saviour You can come to Him today, HEY!
Jesus saves! Jesus saves! People from their sin You will find forgiveness When you put your trust in Him
Well if you look around You'll see how sin has spread Turning light to dark And living things to dead But God still rules the world He always had a plan To send His Son to save us in A likeness of a man
But... Jesus saves! Jesus saves! Jesus is the way Jesus is the Saviour You can come to Him today, HEY!
Jesus saves! Jesus saves! People from their sin You will find forgiveness When you put your trust in Him
Well if you come to God You still have time you know He'll wash your sinful heart And make it white as snow Come taste eternal life And death will have no sting All who trust in Jesus Are the children of the King
Jesus saves! Jesus saves! Jesus is the way Jesus is the Saviour You can come to Him today, HEY! Jesus saves! Jesus saves! People from their sin You will find forgiveness When you put your trust in Him
You will find forgiveness When you put your trust in Him
Amen!
To me, this Christmas music was really truthful. And, it made me think of several Bible verses.
Even so, I thought mostly about:
* Romans 10:9, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
and...
* 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Amen! Just as today's Bible verses and the music lyrics say... if we believe in Him, we shall be saved, and if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness... so our sinful heart can become white as snow.
