Thankful!

Hopefully, you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday.  If so, you'll know that my friend N, invited me to her church for a service and a woman's meeting, with a pot-luck dinner.

If you'd like to know about this wonderful church group, you may want to click on the link for The City Churchhttp://www.thecitychurch.co/.

There was a couple of things I didn't mention yesterday.

The female pastor was also the leader of the group meeting.  And, she kept us busy with a couple of games that were played.

My goodness!  What fun!

I need to let you know that my friend N, and I participated in a game I had never before seen.

As partners, we needed to blow up balloons.  Then place four (4) balloons into each leg of a pair of pantyhose.

Once this was done, the pantyhose had to be placed on our head; well, it was done on my friend N's!  And, to finish up, we had to sing... Jingle Bells!

My goodness!  This was difficult, but so very much fun!

I should let you know that my friend N, and I actually won the first game.  Then, more were played.

Eventually, everyone who had won when the games were played had to join in for another game.

Since I'm fairly weak, my friend N did all the running to the other side of the room.  There, she had to pick up a balloon, blow it up and run back to me.  I then placed three (3) of them, in both legs of the pantyhose.

I must admit, we didn't reach the point where the pantyhose could go on our head, and then sing... Jingle Bells, again.  No, we didn't win.

But, it was truly a fun time for me, and for my friend, N!

The other thing I want to let you know, is that the pastor came and prayed for me.  My friend N, and another friend of hers, joined us.

The pastor was shocked as to what I have been through physically, by having been cut open for surgery six (6) times since September 2012.  Plus, from my 7th time being cut open for, and healing from, now (the abscess).

Thinking of how I felt so wonderful being prayed for, made me think of Hebrews 10:24, "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:"

Yes, they considered me.  Even though I have never attended that church or church group, before.  And, provoked unto me... love and good works.

Not just by having me attend this women's group meeting and pot-luck dinner.  But, also by praying for me.

For this, I was truly happy.  And, felt truly blessed.

I felt thankful.  And, always will be.

Thank you my dear friend, N!

Thank you, N's friend!

Thank you, Pastor!

And, thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
