Petition & 7 Churches of Revelation

Today, I'll be sharing something with you here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) that I believe is so very important.

It's definitely important to me, and hopefully it is to you, as well.  If you're a born-again Christian, I believe what I'll be sharing is truly very important.

What is it I'm sharing?

An e-mail message that I received, from the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ).  Here's what the message said (I copied/pasted it):

Lynn,

An American pastor, Andrew Brunson, has been arrested in Turkey.

Pastor Andrew – a U.S. citizen – has been falsely charged with “membership in an armed terrorist organization,” without any evidence.

He has been a Christian pastor in Turkey for the past 23 years.

We are representing the family of this American Pastor who is facing grave danger in a Turkish prison where he is being held simply because of his Christian beliefs.

The government of Turkey – led by an Islamic party – has begun increased crackdowns on Christians, and Pastor Andrew, if convicted, may face years in prison based on extremely serious – and false – charges.

We are launching a global campaign, demanding that Turkey – a NATO member – release Pastor Andrew immediately.

His Turkish attorney – who is barred from seeing his case file – is planning to file an appeal in 2 days. Pastor Andrew urgently needs your voice now. Demand his freedom.

If you read this, hopefully you felt like me, when I read it.  Broken-hearted.

It breaks my heart, hearing that Turkey has arrested this Christian pastor, Andrew.  Especially, since there are many Christians living in that country.

It also breaks my heart thinking that Turkey has begun and may continue arresting Christians, in the future.

After all, in the past, Turkey was where the 7 Churches of Revelation, were located.

Thinking about this, brought to mind Revelation 1: 9-11, "I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea."

For a long time, I've wished that I could go on a vacation to Turkey.  Even though all those areas where the seven (7) churches were located, are not operating today, I've wanted to go visit either on a tour, or just a daily visit.

Now, things will be changing in Turkey.  Will it be dangerous for visiting Christians?  Only God knows to be sure.

However, our fellow Christians who live in Turkey, may be endangered, now.

Since pastor Andrew has been imprisoned due to his faith, this may be the beginning of what's been happening in the Middle East, with Muslims... even though Turkey is considered to be part of Asia.

Please, sign the petition.

You don't need to be living in USA.  You can be living anywhere in the world and be able to sign it.

Just as I have done, even though I live in Canada.

If you sign the petition, I believe you will be blessed.  After all, you'll be helping a fellow Christian.

May God bless you.

Until next time...
