With today's date, I thought about something I should share with you, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL). Pearl Harbor.
The attack on Pearl Harbor, happened on December 7th, 1941. Here is a link on Wikipedia for you to read about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_on_Pearl_Harbor.
If you know about it, or if you read about it, you'll know that Pearl Harbor is in Hawaii. And, on that date, the Japanese attacked.
This was what happened to create the beginning of WW2, for USA.
I must admit, this was a sad thing to happen. Even so, I am thankful that Americans joined in to help end WW2.
So many people gave themselves to help stop the sinfulness of what the Nazi's, the Muslims (who were supporting the Nazi's), and the Japanese were doing.
As you know, many lost their lives.
Many did not. But, in some ways their lives were truly changed.
Much like my dad's was, after fighting as a member of the Canadian Army, in the Normandy Invasion, during WW2.
Even so, whenever I think about war, I think about Matthew 24:5-10, "For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another."
As we read, many shall be deceived. Yet, we shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass... but the end is not yet.
Other things happen.
Nations shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: there shall be famines and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then, shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for My name's sake.
Then, shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
Wow!
Whenever I think of this, I think about our environment we live in, today.
As I mentioned recently, our today's society doesn't want to focus on our Lord, Jesus Christ. Our government/education has made people think they should not focus on Him.
When I think of how my dad and many other people's lives were changed and they were hurt by standing up for others, to protect them, I think about how they might feel, today.
Believe me when I say that if my dad could turn over in his grave, he would. Of course, he can't.
But, I know that I am made sad about how our society of today, is not even reflecting upon what those who fought in WW2, did.
I forgive them.
And, pray for them.
Hopefully, you will, also.
Until next time...
