If you read yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, you'll know that I celebrated Jesus' birthday, in two (2) different ways, early in the afternoon on Sunday, December 25th... CHRISTmas Day!
After leaving the Green Bean Café, I made my way home.
Why?
Well, I wasn't supposed to go to my daughter, P's home until near suppertime. Plus, I was tired. I felt like I needed a nap. :)
Arriving home, I laid down for an hour.
Then, I had a call from a wound nurse. The call was rather upsetting, but I won't discuss it, now.
Once again, I made my way across town. Yes, I went to my daughter, P's home.
All her family members, plus a guest of theirs, and I spent time, together. It was a blessing to meet up with P, K, D, W, E, Z, R, S & M!
We exchanged gifts. Just as we do when we celebrate each other's birthday!
Of course, the most fun part of exchanging gifts, was watching my great-grandson, E. He's only 15 months old, but had such a fun time! :)
Knowing that my daughter's guest who was visiting, didn't really like turkey, she made roast beef for our CHRISTmas dinner. Yes, she has a turkey, but will serve it on another day. I must admit, the meal was absolutely delicious! Thank you, P!
Like in the past, I prayed at our mealtime. And, was able to speak about how we were celebrating Jesus' birth.
Thinking of this, brought to mind, Luke 2:11, "For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."
Yes, unto us, in the city of David (Bethlehem) a Saviour was born, which is Christ the Lord.
Even though no one truly knows on which date Jesus was born, I am truly glad that many people in the world want to celebrate His birth. For I do, as well... even though I celebrate His birth, every day.
What a blessing it was that I was able to spend so much time with family and friends.
I must admit, it truly touched my heart, in a wonderful way!
Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
