Abscess!

If you read yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, you'll know that I mentioned that I would let you know why I wasn't sure if I could attend the burial of my deceased husband Gordon's Aunt Gertude.

Most people would think that since I attended the visitation and the funeral service, it would be okay for me to attend her burial... even though it was on a different day.

However, there's something that only a few close friends know.

You may be aware that I haven't been well this year.  I've been suffering BIGTIME with a problem that happened by treatment within me.

The two (2) specialists that were taking care of me here in Windsor, actually referred me back to the surgeon who had done my major reconstructive surgery (using my muscles to reconstruct me) in the spring of 2014, in London, Ontario, Canada.

It was November 17th, when I drove to London, to see the surgeon.

We spoke about the situation that I have been told I would need two (2) surgeries for.

Then, I let him know that I also had been leaking fluid and blood through part of me that was swollen.  He examined me.

The surgeon told me that I couldn't leave the hospital until he did surgery on me.  The swelling was an abscess.

I was told it was good that I had been leaking, and that the abscess hadn't burst open.  If it had, it could have killed me.

He and a nurse, froze me.  I was cut open, and cleaned out.  Then, the abscess area was fully packed up.

I was told that the reason I had the abscess, was because of me having had tremendous infection inside me.

Was this something shocking?  Not really.

I have been having treatment for infection, for quite a while.

Because I was frozen, I didn't have tremendous pain to prevent me from driving home.  For this I praised God!  Hallelujah!

I must admit, I trust God.  For everything in my life.  And, He helps me.

Much like we read, in Psalm 37:5, "Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

Yes, I committed myself unto the Lord.  I trust in Him, always.  And, He makes everything be dealt with, so He brings it to pass.

It's not just amazing that God provided for me, by having the surgeon help me, but doing surgery on me.

It's also amazing that I am having and will medical care by nurses.  They will unpack the abscess area, clean it, and repack it, daily.  For several weeks.  Until I am healed.

With me finding out about Aunt Gertrude's visitation and funeral service, I had told my nurse.  She made sure she came to treat me, early enough so I could attend.

However, I had no way of contacting her directly, to ask to be treated early enough so I could attend Aunt Gertrude's burial.

Even so, God provided for me, again.  My nurse came early.

This meant I was able to go to Aunt Gertrude's burial.

For this, I am truly thankful.  And, always will be.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...

He Will... And, Did!

If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday, you'll know that my deceased husband Gordon's Aunt Gertrude was not buried, after the visitation and funeral service on the day of my birthday, November 24th.

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to attend Aunt Gertrude's burial, at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 25th.  I will tell you why, another day.

However, I was thankful that God provided for me to be able to attend her burial.  Thank You, Lord!

It wasn't surprising that there was only a few people attending Aunt Gertrude's burial.

Gordon's brother was there.  So was his wife.  Plus, one (1) of their sons, who also brought his young son with him.

Other than them, the two (2) funeral workers and me, there was only another lady there.  The lady that I had spoken and sat with, at the funeral home, after the service.

This lady was a hairdresser, who I had met and seen repeatedly over many years.  She used to go to Gordon's mom's home to do what she could for her.

And, this lady had also gone to do the same for Aunt Gertrude (Gordon's mom's sister), at her home.

We stood beside each other, while the two (2) funeral workers joined us.  The lady funeral worker read some information from a booklet.

This only took a few minutes.  Then, it was time for Aunt Gertrude's burial.

Well, I need to say that the male funeral worker, is someone who has always been very nice to me, whenever I've seen him.

In the past, when I attended a burial service for a friend's parent, he had looked at me over and over again.  Eventually, he asked me to sing.  So, I did.

At Aunt Gertrude's burial time, he looked at me over and over again.  So, I decided to sing.  And, did.

The funeral workers and the hairdresser lady stayed with me, while I sang.

Gordon's brother, his wife, son and grandson, walked away.

Was I hurt?

Yes, and no.

I knew in my heart that Gordon's family never really cared for or about me.  After his death, none of them have had anything to do with me.  So, I was partially hurt.

Still, I found myself not truly upset.

After all, God is with me.  He helps me.  Always.

Much like we read, in Isaiah 41:10, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

I must admit, I was not dismayed for I knew God would strengthen me, and help me through this time of sorrow.  He did.

The hairdresser lady and the male funeral worker both complimented me for singing.  And, commented about what a lovely voice I have.

Afterwards, I drove over to the cemetery next door, where Gordon is buried.

When I parked, I actually parked behind Gordon's brother and all his family members, who attended Aunt Gertrude's burial.  You see, Gordon is buried, near where his parents and some other family members are buried.

At this time, Gordon's brother spoke with me.

He asked me about the flower-like wreath on his parent's grave.   I let him know I had made it and placed it there, for the season.  Along with Gordon's wreath, of course.

I must admit, it surprised me that he was surprised to see the wreaths, there.  It made me realize that it must be several years, since he and his family visited his family's graves.

To my surprise, Gordon's family members all walked over to his grave site.  The place where I will also be buried in the future.

This surprised me.  But, also made me happy that they seemed to care... about Gordon.

For this, I was thankful.  And, always will be.

Thank You, Lord!

My Need...

If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) last Friday, you'll know that on the day of my birthday, November 24th, I attended a funeral home visitation and service for my deceased husband Gordon's Aunt Gertrude.

After the service, I thought we would go to the cemetery.  I thought she would be buried.

She wasn't.

In fact, we were told that Aunt Gertrude would be buried at the cemetery the next day.  On Friday afternoon.

Wow!  To me, this was shocking!

We were all invited to leave the service and go to a room in the funeral home, where food and coffee would be provided.  No, this wasn't a meal.  However, there was nice items available.

I have to admit that it was shocking to me to enter the room where the food was being served.

Why?

It was the room where my husband Gordon was, during the visitation times, after he had died.

It wasn't just shocking going into the room.

I found it touched my heart, when I saw that where the table was with the food, was the same location where Gordon was laid out, in his casket.  :'(

Sigh...

When I saw this, I felt I needed God's grace.  I felt He needed to help me.

Thinking of this, brought to mind, Hebrews 4:16, "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."

Yes, we need to come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Need.  Yes, I had a need.

I needed God to help me.  I felt like crying.

Why?

I truly have no idea.  Except that I was reminded about losing my deceased husband, Gordon.

What did I do?

I silently prayed.  And, asked Him to help me... to not cry... to not feel sick in my heart.

He did help me.  I didn't cry.  But, I also didn't eat much of anything that was available.

I sat with a couple of ladies, and spoke with them.

After a short time, I got up from the table to make my way out.  I stopped and said 'goodbye' to everyone there, including my daughters and Gordon's son, who were sitting together at a different table.

I have to admit, I praised God.

He helped me.  He provided for me.  And, He gave me the grace I needed during my time of need.

For this I will always be thankful.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...

Of God!

As you know I've said before, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), today is our Lord's Day.  A day when we worship Him.

As a form of worship, I will share with you some music.

It was written by Charitie Lees Smith and is entitled, Before The Throne of God Above.  Here is a link for you to click on, to listen to and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ6QaZcPphM.  The lyrics are below.

Before The Throne of God Above

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect Plea;
A great high priest whose name is Love
Who ever lives and pleads for me.

My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in Heaven He stands,
No tongue can bid me thence depart.
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect Plea;
A great high priest whose name is Love
Who ever lives and pleads for me.

My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in Heaven He stands,
No tongue can bid me thence depart.
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upwards I look and see Him there
Who made an end to all my sin.

Because the sinless Savior died,
My sinful soul is counted free,
For God the Just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me,
To look on Him and pardon me.

Behold Him there, the risen Lamb;
My perfect spotless Righteousness,
The great unchangeable I Am,
The King of glory and of grace.

One with Himself, I cannot die;
My soul is purchased by His blood.
My life is hid with Christ on high;
With Christ, my Savior and my God,
With Christ, my Savior and my God.

One with Himself, I cannot die;
My soul is purchased by His blood.
My life is hid with Christ on high;
With Christ, my Savior and my God,
With Christ, my Savior and my God.

Just as the lyrics tell us, I cannot die.  My soul is purchased by His blood.  My life is with Christ on high, with my Saviour and my God.

God told us this, in His Word, the Bible.

Like what we read, in Acts 17:27-28, "That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring."

Yes, everyone needs to seek the Lord.  For, in Him we live, move and have our being:  for we are also His offspring.

My Lord and Saviour loved me so much, that He saved me.  I am His offspring.

Are you?

All I had to do, was to trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, to gain salvation (Acts 16:31).

This is all you have to do.

If you haven't done it yet, then do it... today.  Tomorrow may be too late.

Until next time...

H.B. L! & Love...

Before I begin today's entry on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I would like to wish my daughter B's boyfriend, L... Happy Birthday!  May God bless you always, L!

Today, I'll be discussing something I have done quite often.

Watched movies!

Here are some movies I watched, recently:

*  The Bliss of Mrs. Blossom, starring Shirley MacLaine, Richard Attenborough and James Booth.  If you'd like to check out this British comedy film, please click here:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bliss_of_Mrs._Blossom.  Even though this movie was listed as a comedy film, I truly felt uncomfortable, due to it being sinful.

The Girl Can't Help It, starring Tom Ewell, Jayne Mansfield and more actors.  If you want, you can click on this link, to check out this musical comedy film:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Girl_Can't_Help_It.  With this being a comedy film, I enjoyed the fact of there being love, within it.

Johnny Be Good, starring Anthony Michael Hall, Robert Downey Jr., and Paul Gleason.  Want to check out this American comedy film?  Then, please... click here:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Be_Good.  In this comedy film, I didn't find everything in this movie to be funny.

Fatso, starring Dom DeLuise, Anne Bancroft and more actors.  Click here, to check out this American comedy film:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatso_(1980_film).  There were things happening that weren't funny, but I enjoyed this movie.  Especially, the ending.

Swept Away, starring Madonna, Bruce Greenwood and more actors.  Check out this British-Italian romantic comedy film, by clicking on this link:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swept_Away_(2002_film).  Though everything in this movie wasn't funny, I enjoyed it.

Even though all these movies were basically comedy films, they truly contained some love in them.

Life can feel good when there is love in our lives.  But, if love is not there, life can feel very different.

Even so, when I think of love, I think of Jesus.  And, what He said, in the New Testament portion of the Bible.

Just as we read, in Mark 12:30-31, "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."

Yes, we need to love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, all thy soul and with all thy mind and strength.

We also need to love thy neighbour as thyself.

As Jesus said, there is none other commandment greater than these.

When I reflect upon these commandments that Jesus told us, I realize that I am doing this, because I feel love.

Love, for Him.  And, love for others, the way I love myself.

Because I belong to Him, my heart is affected this way.  Hopefully, yours is, too.

If so, you will be blessed.

Visitation & Funeral Service...

I'll be telling you about something, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).  It's something that happened just the other day.

On Tuesday, November 22nd, I telephoned my deceased husband Gordon's aunt Gertrude.  It was her birthday, so I wanted to speak with her, wish her Happy Birthday and probably sing it, too.

Normally, I would go visit her.  However, I haven't been well, lately.  So, instead, I telephoned her.

In the afternoon, there was no answer, on both calls I made.  In the evening, when there was no answer again, I wondered if it wasn't a case that she was away from home to celebrate her birthday.  I wondered if she had died, or if she was still alive.

I went online and googled her name.

Sure enough, I came across her obituary.

Apparently, Aunt Gertrude died in the hospital on Sunday, November 20th.

I felt sad.  Not just because Aunt Gertrude had died.

I also felt sad, because Gordon's family never contacted me, to tell me about Aunt Gertrude being ill, in the hospital.  Nor, about her death.

Even so, I felt blessed that God had provided for me to know.  And, to attend her visitation and funeral service, along with my daughters... on my birthday, November 24th.

As I was resting and praying, I wondered if Aunt Gertrude was now in Heaven, or not.  Truly, only God knows.

In the past, she... like many people, claimed to be Christian... so, hopefully she is in Heaven.

However, some people are.  Some are not.

How do I know this?

God told us that we need to be born again.

Just as we read, in John 3:3, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

See?!  Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

This means that everyone needs to be born again.  Or, if you want to call it something else, everyone needs to be saved.

Hopefully, you are.

I am.

If you have gained salvation and have become a born again Christian, by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, then you will be saved.  You will be born again.

And, we will spend eternity together, in Heaven.

Until next time...

Sin & Love...

If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday, you'll know that I mentioned about how God loves us.  Yes, He truly does.

God has told us in so many ways that He truly loves us.

Us, who belong to Him.

Us, who have gained salvation, by trusting in/believing upon His only begotten Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Us, who have dedicated our lives to Him.  And, have repented from sin.

Talking about sin... it was shocking to me when I came across this link by independent.co.uk entitled, Sylvia Driskell vs Homosexuals: 'Ambassador for God' files law suit against gay people in the UShttp://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/sylvia-driskell-vs-homosexuals-ambassador-for-god-files-lawsuit-against-gay-people-in-the-us-10228965.html.

And, it was also shocking to me, to watch this article/video by cbn.com entitled, Gender Identity Curriculum Angers Parents in Virginia.  Here's a link for you to check it out:  http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/us/2015/June/Gender-Identity-Curriculum-Angers-Parents-in-Fairfax/?cpid=:ID:-2340-:DT:-2015-06-21-11:29:32-:US:-AB1-:CN:-CP1-:PO:-NC1-:ME:-SU1-:SO:-FB1-:SP:-NW1-:PF:-IM1-.

Conservativebyte.com posted an article entitled, Gay Couple Is Suing To Force A Church To Hold Their Weddinghttp://conservativebyte.com/2015/06/gay-couple-is-suing-to-force-a-church-to-hold-their-wedding/.

A Facebook (FB) friend, Mark Grosse's posting of a YouTube video entitled, The Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrahhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pE7aWx4BGto.

newsms.fm posted an article entitled, Mississippi Circuit Clerk Quits because of Same Sex Marriage Rulinghttp://www.newsms.fm/mississippi-circuit-clerk-quits-because-of-same-sex-marriage-ruling/.

Hopefully, the result of realizing that we need to not sin, will be supportive of God's Word, the Bible.  And God, Himself.

After all, being supportive of God, shows Him that we love Him.

My friend, we need to love Him.

Why?

Because, He loves us so very much.

Just as we read, in John 3:16-17, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

God loved us so very much, that He sent His Son, our Lord Jesus to earth.

He didn't come to condemn the world, even though it is filled with sin.

Jesus came to earth, so that the world through Him might be saved.

Are you saved?

If so, you'll have everlasting life, and will spend eternity in Heaven, after your life here on earth ends.

Hopefully, you are saved.

If so, we'll spend time together, in Heaven.

Walk!

Today, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) I will be discussing obedience.  Conviction.  And, sin.

Here is an article published by Illinois Family Institute entitled, Same--sex Parenting: a Form of Child Abusehttp://illinoisfamily.org/homosexuality/same-sex-parenting-is-child-abuse/#.UerlepHTAOB.facebook

Here is a link to an article that was published on God'z Gurlz Bible-based webmag for women (GG)entitled, 1st Heartfelt Letter from Gay ex-loverhttp://www.godzgurlz.com/1st---heartfelt-letter-from-gay-ex-lover.html#.UYfOMiBzbIW

As you know, I was one of many contributors for GG.  And, am grateful that GG existed, even if it was only for a period of time, so that women can be blessed by what they publish.

I came across a YouTube video entitled, HIDDEN CAM:  Gay Wedding Cakes at Muslim Bakeries.  Here is a link for you to watch/listen:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgWIhYAtan4&feature=share.

Here is a link by cnsnew.com entitled, Rev. Graham:  Indiana 'Surrendered' to 'Sexually Immoral Agenda of Gays and Lesbians' - US Has Forgotten and Forsaken God:  http://www.cnsnews.com/blog/michael-w-chapman/rev-graham-indiana-surrendered-sexually-immoral-agenda-gays-and-lesbians-%E2%80%93-us.

If you read this article, you'll know that Indiana has gone against what God would have them do.  They've allowed same sex marriage.  I must admit, I agree with and like what Rev. Franklin Graham said.  Please read it!

Thinking about all this, brought to mind 2 John 1:6, "And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it."

Yes, we need to walk after His commandments.  God's commandments.

For this is truly love.

God has told us in so many ways that He truly loves us.

He loves us so much that He sent His only begotten son, so that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

My friend, I pray that you have begun to believe in Jesus.

If you have, you'll have gained everlasting life.

Just like me.

Banned in 1952?!

Once in a while, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll discuss something that not everyone likes.  Today, will be a day like that.

What will I discuss?

Obama.

Knowing that the election has happened in USA, and President Obama will be stepping down soon as President, I thought I should share some information with you.

As I'm sure you're aware, President Obama has been in support of Muslims.  After all, his dad was Muslim... which means that even though he claims to not be Muslim, fellow Muslims believe he is.

No matter the reality, the truth is, Obama is in support of Muslims.

A Facebook (FB) friend shared an article with me when I was messaged.

The article is by endingthefed.com and is entitled, Islam was Banned from the US in 1952 but You're Not Supposed to Know It!  Click here, to read the article:  http://endingthefed.com/islam-was-banned-from-the-usa-in-1952-but-youre-not-supposed-to-know-it.html.

If you read the article, you'll be aware that it says, "ISLAM WAS BANNED FROM THE USA IN 1952 but Obama doesn’t want you to know that, nor does he respect or uphold US law."

And, it also says, "This, by its very definition, rules out Islamic immigration to the United States but this law is being ignored by the White House."

While some people don't believe that President Obama was in support of Islam, some people do.  Like me.

If this wasn't the case, he wouldn't have allowed so many Muslims to immigrate to USA.  Especially, if they weren't all checked into, to confirm that they were truly refugees and not those who some would consider to be terrorists.

To me, even though I am Canadian, and not American, I believe it's good that Obama is leaving his position as President.  I want you to know I care about USA; after all, I lived there for a few years, as a child.

In my opinion, Obama hasn't been truthful.

Something else I am happy about, is that I believe that God's Word is truthful, and educational.

I'm referring to Proverbs 12:19, "The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment."

It's so wonderful to know and accept God's Word, that is telling us that the lip of truth shall be established forever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

Why do I feel this way?

Because Obama isn't staying permanently in his position as President.  So, even though he was in support of Muslims, who I believe might possibly end up harming USA in the future, reality is that he's only there for a moment.

For this, I praise God.

And, always will!

Until next time...

Stand Up!

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'm mentioning again that today is a very important day.  It's our SONday!

Being our Lord's Day, we need to worship.  We need to honour Him.  And, praise Him.

Like normal, I will share some Christian music with you.

The music I'm sharing is entitled, Stand Up and bless the Lord.  Here is a link for you to listen to and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75Ue0BV2aCQ.  The lyrics are below.

Stand Up and bless the Lord

Stand up and bless the Lord
ye people of his choice;
stand up and bless the Lord your God
with heart and soul and voice.

Though high above all praise,
above all blessing high,
who would not fear his holy Name,
and laud and magnify?

O for the living flame
from His own altar brought,
to touch our lips, our minds inspire,
and wing to heaven our thought!

God is our Strength and Song,
and his salvation ours;
then be his love in Christ proclaimed
with all our ransomed thoughts.

Stand up and bless the Lord;
the Lord your God adore;
stand up and bless his glorious Name;
henceforth forevermore.

As the lyrics quotes, we need to stand up... and bless the Lord.

Just as we read, in Psalm 34:1, "I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth."

Yes, I will bless the Lord at all times:  His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Anyone who knows me personally, knows that this is truly how I am.  I praise Him, continuously.  And, always will.

Do you?

Hopefully, you have gained salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.

If you have, I know you will praise and bless Him... always.  Forever.

Until next time...

Over and Over, Again...

Guess what I'll tell you about today, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL)?  It's something I've done in the past.

Movies!

Here's some I've watched:

From Here to Eternity, starring Burt Lancaster, Donna Reed, Frank Sinatra, Ernest Borgnine and other actors.  If you'd like to check out this drama film from the WW2 era, click here:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/From_Here_to_Eternity.  Even though there was parts of the story I didn't like, I watched the whole movie.

To Be or Not to Be, starring Carole Lombard, Jack Benny, and other actors.  To check out this comedy film, click here:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/To_Be_or_Not_to_Be_(1942_film).  Believe it or not, this movie involved Warsaw during WW2, and Nazi's.  It was good to watch.

The Mountain Road, starring James Stewart, Lisa Lu and Glenn Corbett.  Want to check out this war film?  Click here:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mountain_Road.  Even though this was a war movie, there was some love in it.

A Bridge Too Far, starring Dirk Bogarde, Sean Connery, Gene Hackman, Robert Redford and many other actors.  Click here, to check out this British-American epic war film:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Bridge_Too_Far_(film).  I enjoyed seeing this film focused on the Netherlands.

Exodus, starring Paul Newman, Eva Marie Saint, Peter Lawford, Lee. J. Cobb and other actors.  If you'd like click here, you'll check out this epic film:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exodus_(1960_film).  Even though this movie is about the creation of Israel, it is virtually a war film.

You may be surprised that I discussed movies like this, again.  But, it didn't surprise me, because of having Remembrance Day this month, there were many movies like this, shown.

Even though there was love, sin and other things within these movies, they were all war films.

Thinking about war, reminded me of Matthew 24:6, "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet."

War is not great.  At least not for those who fight within the war.  Or, for those who are affected by it.

However, just as God told us in today's verse, we shall hear of wars and rumours of wars:  see that ye be not troubled:  for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Aha!

War will happen.  Over and over, again.

Much like what has happened throughout the world.

They have come and gone.  Began and ended.

But, the ending has not yet come.

My friend, there will come a time when the end comes.

Are you ready?

Are you trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ?

Hopefully, so.

For if you haven't yet done this and gained salvation, you will spend eternity in Hell, separated from God, with NO CHANCE OF ESCAPE.

Of course, if you have, then you will spend eternity in Heaven with Him.  And, with me.

Until next time...

Wonderful!

Today, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be discussing something that happened to me, a while ago.

As you're probably aware, every now and then, I wake up with song resonating within me.  It happened to me, when I awoke.

It was the morning after I had found out that my cousin I had hoped to visit in Nova Scotia, had died.

The music/lyrics that I had in my heart and mind, was by Eric Clapton and is entitled, Wonderful Tonight.  Here's a link for you to listen and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIpZjA5gTjY.  The lyrics are below.

Wonderful Tonight

It's late in the evening; she's wondering what clothes to wear.
She puts on her make-up and brushes her long blonde hair.
And then she asks me, "Do I look all right?"
And I say, "Yes, you look wonderful tonight."

We go to a party and everyone turns to see
This beautiful lady that's walking around with me.
And then she asks me, "Do you feel all right?"
And I say, "Yes, I feel wonderful tonight."

I feel wonderful because I see
The love light in your eyes.
And the wonder of it all
Is that you just don't realize how much I love you.

It's time to go home now and I've got an aching head,
So I give her the car keys and she helps me to bed.
And then I tell her, as I turn out the light,
I say, "My darling, you were wonderful tonight.
Oh my darling, you were wonderful tonight."

When I first awoke with this resonating within me, I wondered why this happened.

After all, I normally feel God is speaking to me.  But, at first, I didn't know why.  Especially, since I knew this was a love song.

So, I went onto the internet and located both the link used today, and the lyrics.

Yes, I listened to the song.  But, I also read the lyrics.

Then, I understood why God had placed it on my heart and mind.

It struck me that God wanted me to know that He loves me.  How?

Through part of the lyrics:

I feel wonderful because I see
The love light in your eyes.
And the wonder of it all
Is that you just don't realize how much I love you.

Yes, I know He loves me.  And, I was grateful to read that He sees the love light in my eyes.

Thinking of this, brought to mind John 8:12, "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

Yes, Jesus is the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Hallelujah!

He showed me that I have the light of life.

Why do I have it?  Because, I belong to Him.

I have gained salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ (Acts 16:31).

Have you?

If not, you'll spend eternity in Hell, separated from God.  With... NO... chance of escape.

If you have gained salvation, I'll spend eternity with you, in Heaven.

Hopefully, I'll see you, there!

Moonstruck...

If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday, you'll know that I discussed the Super Moon!

As I mentioned, I was thankful God answered my prayer.

The clouds covered the moon for a while.  But later, God made it so that I could see the moon for quite a while!

Thank You, Lord!

While looking at the super moon, I thought of full moons that I see on a fairly regular basis.  Plus, I thought about a movie I've always adored.

Moonstruck.

If you've never watched Moonstruck, I would suggest you click on this link to find out about it:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moonstruck.  Then, I would suggest you watch the movie.

Why?

Not because it is sinless.  It's not.

However, the movie is truly about love.

Human love.

Not, God's love.

Even so, thinking about love, made me think about God.  And, how He loves us... sinners.

This brought to mind, Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

How wonderful it is, that we do not have to be perfect in order to be loved by Him.

How blessed we are that He loved us so much that Christ died for us, even though we were sinners.

Are you a sinner?

Hopefully, you realize you are.

We all are.

No one hasn't sinned.  We have all sinned.

However, when we gain salvation, by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ... He shows us so much love.  So much love that we cannot receive from anywhere, or anyone else.

Thank You, Lord!

Hallelujah!

Super Moon...

Every so often, I've mentioned things that happen, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).  Today, is one of those days!

What am I referring to?

Super Moon!

What is Super Moon?  Click on this link, and you will be able to check it out:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supermoon.

Did you read the information that Wikipedia shared?

If you did, then you will have read this information that I'm sharing with you:

"Occasionally, a supermoon coincides with a total lunar eclipse. The most recent occurrence of this was in September 2015, while the next time will be in October 2033.[7]

The most recent supermoon occurred on November 14, 2016, the closest to Earth since January 26, 1948, and the next one like this will not be until November 25, 2034.[8] The closest supermoon of the century will occur on December 6, 2052.[9]

In recent years, it has become popular to photograph the supermoon."

Did I get to see the super moon?

Yes.  And, no.

About 6:35 pm on Monday evening, I saw the super moon, but not fully.  It was behind a small amount of clouds.

I was able to see it, but only for a few minutes.  Only, until the clouds totally covered it.

Even so, I thought it was wonderful being able to see something that only happens on rare occasions.

Especially, since a little later, the clouds moved aside.  Then, I was able to see the super moon... again!

To me, it was merciful of God to do this for me.  To allow me to see the super moon, that was revealed after the clouds moved away, and the moon arose.

You see, I prayed that this would happen.  And, He answered my prayer.

Yes, He is merciful.

Just as we read, in Psalm 86:5, "For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee."

I praise Him for being good and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon Thee.

Just as I do.  And, others do who love Him.

Do you love Him?

Have you gained salvation?  I have.

If you haven't yet, then please realize that all you need to do, is to trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ... and you will be saved (Acts 16:31).

Once you've become a true believer, who has gained salvation, then you'll be able to see how much God loves you.  And, what He does for you.

Just as He does for me.  And, for all who belong to Him, after gaining salvation.

Hopefully, you've joined me, and others who belong to Him.

Fulfil...

From time to time, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I share with you information.  I'm referring to information I receive by e-mail.

Yesterday, I received e-mail from the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ).  Like I've done in the past, I copied/pasted it, so you can read it.  Here is the message I received:

Lynn,

Christians are being slaughtered to the brink of extinction in the Middle East.

It's a new level of barbaric atrocities: beheadings, crucifixions, and now chemical warfare. Christians fleeing for their lives are saying, "No one cares about us like we are not human."

We've successfully pressured the Obama Administration to recognize the "genocide against Christians." But it hasn't taken action.

We have a sacred duty to act and a legal obligation under the Genocide Convention.

We've launched a massive multi-pronged legal advocacy campaign to 1) stop the genocide and 2) protect Christians.

We've filed a major lawsuit against the Administration over its inaction on genocide. A federal judge has ordered a critical report next month, which could force the Administration into action.

Today we're sending a vital letter to President-elect Trump outlining our 7-point plan to defend Christians facing horrific genocide.

Take action now to defend dying Christians.

Sign Our NEW Letter: Stop the Genocide. Protect Christians.

Jay Sekulow
ACLJ Chief Counsel

To be honest, I am not surprised that ACLJ is asking President-elect Trump to defend Christians facing horrific genocide.  I believe Donald Trump will do what he can concerning this issue.

Donald Trump is not planning to support Muslims, in doing harm to Americans.  So, hopefully he will also help those who he knows need support, elsewhere.

After all, many people in the Middle East are burdened.  And, their lives are at risk.

Thinking of what God would have us do, brought to mind Galatians 6:2, "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ."

I pray that not only Donald Trump will help those who are burdened... to fulfil the law of Christ.  I pray that you will do what you can, also.

Just as I do.  And, did... by signing the new letter on the link that ACLJ sent in the e-mail I received.

My friend, please click on the link.  Sign the new letter.

Please realize that you don't need to be American to sign the letter.  I'm not American; I'm Canadian.

So, please... support those being persecuted for being Christians, and help protect them.

As I said, I signed the new letter.

Hopefully, you will also.  And, also pray.

If so, may God bless you.

Repent!

On Life with Lynnie (LwL), there is something I need to say.  It's something that not everyone will agree with.  But, to me... it doesn't matter.

While our new Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau and his wife visited Washington, D.C., U.S.A, there were many, many, many television (TV) clips about how he and U.S.A. President Barack Obama seemed happy to be together.

Did I agree with what was being shown?  Yes.

Did it surprise me?  No.  Absolutely, not.

After all, both Barack Obama and Justin Trudeau are both in support of Islam.

So, it didn't shock me.  There is no reason for them to not relate well.

Both CBC and some of the American TV stations news , seemed to be very happy about this.

Of course, some the Canadian news casters seemed really happy.

This also didn't shock me.  After all, during election time, I could see some were truly in support of Trudeau.

Then, on a Friday evening, I watched part of a Canadian programme entitled, The Fifth Estate.

The speakers on that programme were totally against Donald Trump.  One of the people hoping to become the next elected U.S.A. President.  And, was recently elected.

An American Facebook (FB) friend showed me something that I hadn't seen.

It was an article by propheynewswatch.com and is entitled, Stifling Free Speech - Canada Cracks Down On Criticism Of Islamhttp://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=797#qjKwzBo8cqoJx5cV.01

This was truly upsetting to me.

I hadn't heard that Canada was doing this.  However, it's not surprising to me.

After all, it seems people like our Canadian Prime Minister, haven't learned the truth about Islam.  And, what Muslims learn and are taught to do, in their lives.

My prayer is that people who think this way, will come to learn truth.  Will understand that their thinking was not correct.  And, will repent.

Thinking of repentance brought to mind 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

Yes, we are in end times.

Our Lord is not slack concerning His promise, but longsuffering is happening, even though our Lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

My friend, have you repented?

I have.  I repented when I rededicated my life to our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Salvation is so very important.  And, so is repentance.

If you haven't yet repented, please do so today.  Tomorrow, may be too late.

Until next time...

Soldiers...

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), on this Lord's Day worship is very important.

With this being the weekend of which Remembrance Day occurred, I thought it would be good to share some music with you, again.  Music regarding soldiers.

It is by Roland Majeau and is entitled, Soldiers Cry.  Here is a link for you to listen and/or sing along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQ7z_eANAP4 .  The lyrics are below.

Soldiers Cry

Talk of trouble is sent through the country
And we need an army
To fight for the right
Young men enlist and are sent to the battle
To fight the offender and help our allies

And the young men cry Oh Canada
Well gladly go and fight for thee
And the young men cry Oh Canada
Well fight to keep you free

The battles raging
Gun fire is blazing
A tired young soldier is clinging to life
He's ordered off
And obeys by advancing
No hope of returning from the enemy fire

And the soldier cries Oh Canada
If it must be so, I'll die for thee
And the soldier cries Oh Canada
I'll die to keep you free

And we all miss Oh Canada
The land where we all used to be
And we all long for Canada
The true north
strong and free

And the soldier cries Oh Canada
If it must be so, I'll die for thee
And the soldier cries Oh Canada
I'll die to keep you free

Far away we had seen a great danger
And yet there's a danger much greater within
The noise we make as we constantly bicker
Would hush not a whisper if we listen to him

All the thousands cry Oh Canada
Is that why we have died for thee?
And the soldiers cry Oh Canada
We died to keep you free

And the soldier cries oh Canada
Be true
And strong
For me

War...

Hopefully, you read Life with Lynnie (LwL), yesterday.  After all, it was an important day.

With yesterday being Remembrance Day, I decided to share with you some movies that apply to that special day.

Here are the movies I'm sharing with you:

Battle Taxi, starring Sterling Hayden, Arthur Franz, Marshall Thompson and other actors.  To check out this aviation drama film, click on this link:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Taxi.  This movie was concerning the Korean war.  I enjoyed it.

The Bridge on the River Kwai, starring William Holden, Jack Hawkins, Alec Guinness and many other actors.  If you'd like to check out this epic war film, that is considered to be one of the best ever concerning WW2, please click here:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bridge_on_the_River_Kwai.  Even though I have seen it before, I will watch it, again.

* Dark Command, starring Claire Trevor, John Wayne, Roy Rogers and other actors.  Click on this link, if you'd like to check out this Western film, about the Civil Warhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Command.  Even though this wasn't a movie regarding war in the 20th century, I enjoyed it.

Murphy's War, starring Peter O'Toole, Sian Phillips and other actors.  Want to check out this WW2 war film?  If so, click on this link:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murphy%27s_War.  Watching this, was good... even though it was rather sad.

The McKenzie Break, starring Brian Keith, Ian Hendry and other actors.  Check out this British war drama film, by clicking on this link:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_McKenzie_Break.  I must admit, watching this movie, was very different... even though it was during WW2.  Of course, I wanted to make sure I watched it, since my name is... McKenzie!

War.

I believe it is not something that people enjoy.  Especially, since every war creates deaths.

However, we will always hear of wars.

Just as we read, in Matthew 24:6, "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet."

Yes, we shall hear of wars and rumours of wars.  Even so, we must see that we be not troubled... for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

We don't have control over what happens in this world.

God does.

Even so, we have to accept what happens.  After all, the end is not here, yet.

The end of the world will happen in the future, just as we read in God's Word, the Bible.

But, that doesn't mean we will live that long.

When my life ends, I'll spend eternity in Heaven with our Lord.

Will you?

Do you know what can be done to make this happen?

All you have to do is to trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ... as your saviour... and you will be saved (Acts 16:31).  Your salvation, provides for you to spend eternity with Him, in Heaven.

Hopefully, I'll see you in Heaven, some day.

Remembrance Day...

Today, is a very special day.

It's...
Remembrance Day!

I came across a link online,
regarding Veteran's week.
Here's the link,
for you to check it out:
http://www.veterans.gc.ca/rememberthem.

Yes, our Canadian government
wants people to...
remember veterans.

To remember them
click on this video link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKqJOUyrxpQ.

It's been
so very loving
what veterans
have done
for
us.

Just as we read,
in
John 15:13,
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

Some of our veterans died.

Some of our veterans lived.

I'm thankful for
each
and every
one
who provided us
with
protection
and
freedom.

I'll never forget.

I'll always remember.

May God bless
each of our soldiers,
today...
and
always!

Until next time...

The Lord Knew...

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'd like to discuss something that touched my heart.

Nytimes.com posted an article entitled, The Female Pilots We Betrayedhttp://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/21/opinion/sunday/the-female-pilots-we-betrayed.html?emc=eta1&_r=0.

If you read this article posted by the New York Times, you'll be aware that the Women Airforce Service Pilots, known as WASPS, were not treated the same way that men were, during WW2.

If you read that article, you'll know that this was said,
"After a protracted fight, WASPs finally earned veteran status in 1977, thanks to a law signed by Jimmy Carter. And in 2002, the Army granted the WASPs military funeral honors — the playing of Taps, a rifle salute and an American flag to the family — and affirmed that they were eligible for inurnment at Arlington."

But last March, the secretary of the Army overturned that decision because of a technicality. The likely explanation is that Arlington expects to run out of room by 2030. And yet there are over 30,000 spaces left to store urns.

The Army that desperately needed female pilots in 1942 and then discarded them in 1944 has turned its back on them again.

Last month, the House and Senate introduced bills to make this right. Most of the 113 surviving WASPs are in their 90s now. There is not much time left to ensure that they get the honors they deserve."

These women were Americans.  In my opinion, they truly deserve to be honoured... no differently than men have been.

Why do I feel this way?

My mom was in the army.  Not the American army.

My mom was a member of the Canadian Women's Army Corp (CWAC).

If you would like to read about CWAC, please click on this link:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Women%27s_Army_Corps.

The article states that women members of CWAC did only a few types of work.  I cannot necessarily agree that the article states everything these women army personnel did.

You see, it states about how some CWAC members were stationed in Washington, D.C.

My mom was one of those CWAC members.  She was stationed in Washington, D.C.

Where my mom was stationed, was only a couple of blocks from the White House.  In fact, on the corner where the building is located, you can still see the White House.

My mom did work, there.  What she did, I have no idea.

She always told me and others that she had signed and agreed to never tell anyone, so she never even told me, or my siblings.  Not ever.  So we didn't know.

But, our Lord knew.

Just as we read, in Jeremiah 23:24, "Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord."

People on earth may not have known what my mom did as a CWAC member, during WW2.  But, our Lord did.  He saw exactly what my mom did.

After all, just as we read, He fills heaven and earth!

To me, it's wonderful that God knows everything.  Everything concerning me, you... and others.

He's not only knowledgeable.  He's in control of everything.

For this, I am thankful.  And, always will be.

Until next time...

H.B. B! & FireTheBigot.com

Before I begin today's entry on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I would like to wish my daughter, B... Happy Birthday!  I'm looking forward to spending time with you!

Yesterday, I received an e-mail.  It was from The Rebel.

There was a link to an article by therebel.media entitled, Musleh Khan must be removed from his new position as the Muslim Chaplain for the Toronto policehttp://www.therebel.media/fire_the_bigot?utm_campaign=firethebigot&utm_medium=email&utm_source=therebel

Hopefully, you clicked on the link, and read the article.

If you did, then you'd know that it said, "Toronto Police Services must fire their newest Muslim Chaplain right now or risk having a bigoted Islamic fundamentalist acting as advisor to their forces."

To me, it was upsetting even finding out that the Toronto Police Services had a Muslim as a chaplain!

How could they have done this?

Who arranged this?

Hopefully, you watched the video on that article page.  If so, you'll know why I find it upsetting.

After all, in the past, all chaplains worked to honour God.

Just as we read, in John 12:26, "If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour."

Yes, if any man serve Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be:  if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

Will a Muslim chaplain serve our Lord?  No.

Will a Muslim chaplain be His servant?  No.

Will a Muslim chaplain be honoured by our Father God?  No.

Why not?

Their god... is NOT our God.

Their god is Satan... not our God.

Therefore, a Muslim chaplain will not honour our Lord.  Instead, he will honour his god.

Just as the article and video showed, the Muslim chaplain was serious about promoting Islam... and Sharia Law.

Please, sign the petition that is available on this link.  And, pray.

May God bless you.

Until next time...

Candle?

Every now and then, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll discuss something that I wake up to find, like I have in the past.

Music.

There's been a song that I've woken up to for several days.  Every morning, it's been in my heart and mind.

Why?  I have no idea.  A thought has crossed my mind, though.

The song is by Elton John entitled, Candle In The Wind.  Here's a link for you to listen to and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80rHyABCb20.  The lyrics are below.

Candle In The Wind

Goodbye Norma Jean
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled
They crawled out of the woodwork
And they whispered into your brain
They set you on the treadmill
And they made you change your name

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did

Loneliness was tough
The toughest role you ever played
Hollywood created a superstar
And pain was the price you paid
Even when you died
Oh the press still hounded you
All the papers had to say
Was that Marilyn was found in the nude

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did

Goodbye Norma Jean
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled
Goodbye Norma Jean
From the young man in the 22nd row
Who sees you as something as more than sexual
More than just our Marilyn Monroe

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did

Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did

Why I've woken up with this song on my heart and mind, for several days, is truly something I don't know.

The only thing I can think of, is that God may be answering something I asked Him in prayer.

I had asked God if He was going to heal me?  Or, was He going to take me home... to Heaven?

The lyrics don't seem to apply that way, through out the whole song.

However, God does see me as something more than sexual.  And, He knows how I lived my life before dedicating myself to Him.

So, I may possibly be like a candle in the wind... that burned out long before my legend ever did.

Do I know?

Absolutely, not!

Only God knows.

He's in control of everything.  Not me.  Nor, you.

And, whatever happens will happen forever.  The result will never change.

Just as we read, in Ecclesiastes 3:14, "I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him."

Have I ever feared God?

Yes.  It led me to understand that I had to look to Him for everything, for He is in control of everything.

Have you feared God?

Did you look to Him?

Did you read His Word, the Bible?

Did you come to realize that you needed to gain salvation?

Hopefully, so.  If you have, then some day, I'll see you in Heaven.

Until next time...

Beasts...

There's something I'd like to tell you about, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).  It's concerning a friend of mine.

My friend has been really upset, lately.

Why?

She has several animals.  Mainly dogs.

But, last week... one (1) of her dogs died... when she was not at home.

Being human, it's truly upsetting when a pet of ours dies.  After all, our relationship with them, is usually like them being family.

I can understand her being broken-hearted.

In the past, I had a couple of pets that died of old age about six (6) months apart.

When this happens to us human beings, I believe we wonder if we will ever see the pets we lost, when we go to Heaven.

To be honest, none of us truly know.

God's Word, the Bible doesn't promise us that we will spend time in Heaven with our lost pets.

However, His Word, the Bible... does tell us that beasts honour our Lord, along with elders and angels.

Just as we read, in Revelation 5:11-14, "And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever."

Beasts... are animals.

Does this mean that every animal will be in Heaven some day?

Only God knows.

So, in the meantime, we must look to Him to provide a good life here on earth, for our pets... and us.

Until next time...

Remember...

On Life with Lynnie (LwL), I usually let people know that today, being SONday, it's our day of worship.

Like in the past, I've decided to share some music with you.

The music I'm sharing is entitled, I Will Remember.  Here is a link for you to listen to and/or sing along:  http://www.truevinemusic.com/i_will_remember.htm.  The lyrics are below.

I Will RememberChorus
I will remember what You have done
I will remember Father, Spirit, Son
I will remember You are my God
And You have called me as Your own
I will remember Your love for me
I will remember Calvary
I will remember the Way, the Truth, the Life,
And all Your promises to me
I will remember
I will remember

Verse 1
I will remember that You are creator
I will remember that You made me
And all of Your blessings, all of Your gifts to me.
I will remember that You save Your people
They walk through the sea upon dry land
Walls turn to rubble, and giants, they crumble
You alone are God, the Great I am!

Verse 2
I will remember that You came to save me
You died on the cross for all of my sins
You rose from the grave and give life that will never end
When I am tempted, when I am weary
When I don't know which way to go
I will remember that You're always with me
And every truth You've taught my heart to know

Bridge
Help me, Jesus, always to remember
Help me, Jesus, always to believe
That even should I forget, Your love is with me yet
For You promise You'll remember me!
Our Lord taught my heart, in many ways.

He taught me that He loves me.

He also taught me that I need to love others.

With Remembrance Day coming this week, I thought it was good to love those who loved us enough to fight and do whatever they could to protect us... and give us freedom.

Thinking of this, made me also recall... Exodus 12:14, "And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever."

Yes, we need to keep this day and Remembrance Day, as a memorial, and keep it as a feast to the Lord throughout our generations; we need to keep it a feast by an ordinance forever!

My heart is so appreciative of our Lord.  And, those who provided us with protection and freedom.

People who fought to protect us and provide us with freedom were from various countries.

Of course, some were in the Canadian Army during WW2.

Some were so very important to me.   Like my dad... and my mom.  They were both in the Canadian Army and did what they could during WW2.

I praise God for what they did.

After all, Europe wasn't taken over and changed the way it might have been.  This also meant that we were going to be safe, here in North America.

For this, I am thankful.  And, always will be.

Until next time...

Put It On!

Once again, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) I'll be sharing information with you on something I've done.

Watching movies!

Here's some I watched:

*  Dark Command, starring John Wayne, Clair Trevor, Roy RogersGabby Hayes and Walter Pidgeon.  If you'd like to find out about this western film, please click here:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Command.  I must admit, that even though this movie involved a bit of the civil war, I truly enjoyed it.  After all, the actors were wonderful!

Sherlock Holmes Faces Death, starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce.  To check out this mystery film, click here:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sherlock_Holmes_Faces_Death.  Even though this film had some frequent mentions of war (WW2), it wasn't the focus of the movie.  I enjoyed it.

* Michael Collins, starring Liam Neeson, Julia Roberts and other actors.  Click here, to check out this film about the Irish Civil War:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Collins_(film).  Even though this movie was truly upsetting to me, it was based on history, so I enjoyed it.

Strategic Air Command, starring James Stewart, June Allyson and other actors.  Clicking here, will allow you to check out this film on the cold war era:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strategic_Air_Command_(film).  Even though it was sad that at the end of the movie, Robert "Dutch" Holland (played by James Stewart), wasn't able to fly any longer, I enjoyed watching it.

Shout at the Devil, starring Lee Marvin and Roger Moore.  It is worth clicking here, to check out this British war adventure film:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shout_at_the_Devil_(film).  Even though this movie was sad in nature, I enjoyed seeing it.

Hmmm...  Did you notice that each of these films were about various war times?

With Remembrance Day coming up on November 11th, I thought it would be good to focus on movies that involved war times.  Even though they can be sad.

To me, many people give time of their lives to fight during war times.  Of course, many people also give up their lives while fighting.

I must say that even though people go to fight for what they feel is right, it isn't easy.

However, I've been told in the past by some people that many people trust in God to go and do the fighting they do.  Plus, I've seen it in some war movies, as well.

Basically, those people have done what God would have them do.

Just as we read, in Ephesians 6:11, "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."

Amen!  Putting on the whole armour of God, is very important, so that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

After all, those who fight against people to hurt them, and change life, basically do what they do, on behalf of the devil.

Yet, those who have fought to protect us, or for our freedom, have done what God truly would have them do.  For this, I am thankful!

Yes, I was happy hearing years ago from many military people about how they relied on God.  I believe that many put on the whole armour of God.

For this, I am truly happy.  And, always will be.

I will always honour them.

Until next time...

Future!

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), a couple days ago I let you know about how I was hurting.  Physically.

Yes, it was silly of me to have done what I did.  However, God truly helped me.

I doubt if you are aware that I also suffer from chronic pain.

Once your body is damaged, you'll suffer with pain.  Like I have ever since I was driving that school bus, and was hit by the tractor-trailer driver.

Many people aren't aware that in the spring and in the fall, anyone with chronic pain, suffers.

Why?  Because the weather is changing.

Of course, no one can change the situation.  At least, not here on earth.

In addition to discussing pain, I thought I would also let you know that recently, I was within a few feet of someone who sick.

The woman was coughing, coughing, coughing.  And, sneezing.

At the time, I hoped that I would not get ill myself.  But, it happened.

This week, in addition to the pain I've been experiencing, I've also been suffering big time in my head and lungs.

Yes.  I've been coughing, coughing, coughing.  And, sneezing.

Has this made me happy?

Absolutely, not.  :'(

Even so, God has helped me every day.  For this, I am truly thankful.  And, always will be.

What's really good, is knowing that He's made it so that I realize that my suffering of lately, is nothing like what He will provide in the future.

Just as we read, in Romans 8:18, "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."

Glory will be revealed in us.  And, in the future it will be so much better, than any of the suffering people like me have been experiencing, here on earth.

You see, I'm not alone.

Many people are suffering the way I have been.  Including my daughter, P.

My friend, I ask that you will pray for everyone who is suffering, at this time of year.

Thank you.

May God bless you.
