Census...

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be discussing something that I don't recall writing about, before (even though I wrote this entry in the spring this year, and hadn't yet shared it with you).

Census...

Census was done here in Canada every 10 years, in the past.  Now, it is done every five (5) years.

Why?  I have no idea.

In the past, I've only ever had paperwork to fill out.  This year's census was different.

This year, I had to do it online.  Through the internet.  Just as our Canadian government has me do with almost every paperwork I need to send to our government.

Well... all except my income tax form.  I'm not allowed to submit that, online.

How come?  I'm not sure.

But, I believe it is because I'm different than other realtors.  I have a Canadian business number.  A number that I've had since I was a store owner.

Going back regarding the census, I must admit, I was shocked doing it.

Not just because I had to do it, online.  Also, because it claimed to be 49 or 50 questions (I wish I could recall).

To be honest, I don't like thinking about doing the census report.  And, don't really want to recall everything that was discussed.

I must admit, I can't recall exactly how many questions I had to answer, because it isn't just due to the number of questions listed on the report.

Why?  Because the last couple of question numbers on the report didn't have just one (1) question.

They had questions listed as 49 a, b, c, d, e, f...  So, the reality was that there was not 49 or 50 questions as the online form stated.

There were a ton of questions!

In the past, questions related to basically how many people lived at your address.  And, other minor information.

Yes, those questions existed as well, this year.

However, I also had questions about my work.  And, how many hours are spent working.

Plus, other questions.

Sigh...

It seems that today's version of census doesn't just want knowledge of what is needed, numerically.  It seems that they also want to know your opinion on situations.

Sigh...

Even so, I did what I had to do.

After all, God told us to do, what we need to do.  We need to be obedient.  Otherwise, we could have trouble.

Just as we read, in Romans 13:2, "Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation."

Even though our country's leader may or may not be Christian, we are still subject to do what we need to do, because our leader is in charge, here on earth.

God wants us to do what is needed, because we should not resist the power, or ordinance of God himself.  Those who resist shall receive themselves damnation.  Just as we read, today.

No matter the circumstances we deal with in life, God is in control.  Not us.

We need to do what He wants us to do.

How do we know what God wants of us?

We need to read His Word, the Bible.

Not just to show obedience, all though that is extremely important to Him.

But, this is the only way we will ever know what God provides for us.  And, what He expects of us.

My friend, if you don't read God's Word, the Bible, please begin doing so.

This is how you will know all about God!

And, you'll be blessed.

Until next time...
