Today, I'd like to discuss here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) about what I did, yesterday.
Believe it or not, I actually went and worshipped with my church family!
Knowing I didn't want to drive there. I hadn't done this, since before I got so sick that I spent time in hospital.
A few days ago, a sister in the Lord, M called me at home. She has been the only person who actually telephoned me, over these past few months. Well, except for my pastor, who I spoke with a few times.
When I let this sister in the Lord know that I didn't want to drive there, she offered to pick me up. She reminded me that she and her sister, E live together. And, it's only about a five (5) minute drive to come and get me.
After discussing this with her, I agreed to have her pick me up.
Did she? No.
Instead, her sister, E picked me up! I found out that, M had actually driven her own vehicle to go pick up their mom and bring her to worship. :)
When we arrived at the church building, a few people welcomed me. And, made me feel blessed.
To me, it was truly a blessing being able to go to worship.
After all, like I've said in the past, we need to worship in spirit and in truth.
Just as we read, in John 4:24, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."
Yes, together... our church family worships Him in spirit and in truth. And, through music.
It was a wonderful time for me. I was truly thankful.
I was thankful that I was able to be with my church family to worship. Plus, I was thankful that my sisters in the Lord, had offered to help me. I praise God for them!
On the way home, E told me she needed to stop at their home.
In the past, I hadn't seen where she and her sister lived. It was truly a nice home. And, it is in a nice neighbourhood, near where I live.
E came out carrying a plant. She put it in the trunk of her vehicle. And, she let me know that she and her sister, M had bought it for me.
What a gift!
Not just the plant. Although it is truly very nice. :)
To me, it was truly a gift, being loved and helped by those who cared for me.
Thank You, Lord for bringing them into my life. May You bless them... always.
Until next time...
