M.D. Weekend!

You may be surprised hearing what I intend to discuss, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL).

Sunday was our day of worship, plus a special day... called Mother's Day (M.D.)!  Of course, you're aware of this, I'm sure!  :)

However, something different happened last weekend.  It made me feel that it should have been called... Mother's Day Weekend! :)

How come?

It's because my friend, D who worships at another Baptist church invited me to join her women's group.  Just as I do whenever I can on a monthly basis.

However, instead of meeting on an evening, during the week, we met on Saturday, May 7th.

Did we meet at her church?  No.

We met at another church.  A church, where my friend, D is a church secretary/administrator.

In the past, I've worshipped there, a few times, so I knew it would be good to meet there.  And, we did.

About 60 of us females enjoyed time together.

There were many women, daughters, and granddaughters who actually worship at other churches.  Including our speaker!

Our speaker, had worshipped where I worshipped years ago.  So, we were happy to see each other!

Of course, our meal was delicious.  It seemed to me that everyone was happy they had purchased a ticket, to hear our speaker, spend time and enjoy food, together!

I believe other women felt the way I did.  I felt like it was a good gift God provided for us, by friends who wanted to do things for us, through Him.

This brought to mind, James 1:17, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."

Yes, every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.  Every good gift we receive comes from God.  Who loves us, and never changes.

Thank You, Lord!

I thank Him for always providing for me.  Even during times when life isn't easy.

He does this, because I am His child.

Are you?

Have you gained salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ?

By doing that, it's the only way anyone can gain salvation.

Why is this important?

Because, when your life ends here on earth, you will go to either Heaven or Hell.

If you haven't gained salvation, you will spend eternity in Hell, separated from God, with no chance of escape.

If you have gained salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, you will spend eternity in Heaven... with God.

Even though God knows who will be saved...  for we humans, the choice is yours.

Hopefully, I'll see you in Heaven, some day.

Until next time...
