Forgive? Forgive!

As I mentioned yesterday, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), it was a day of worship.

Well, at least for me.  But, not for my granddaughter, A.

Earlier in the week, her mom... my daughter, B called me and let me know that A wanted to go to Sunday school, where I worship.  Not at another church group, where she had taken A, previously.

We made arrangements for me to pick up, A.

Before going there, I had to stop and see my other daughter, P.  We had a nice, but short visit.

Then, I headed over to B's home, so I could pick up, A.

Even though I had texted and called, B... I never heard back.  This was frustrating to me, because in the past, this happened, also.

Yes.  It happened, again.  However, it happened a little bit differently, this time.

One of my grandsons answered the door, after I had called and texted B, again.  He let me know A wasn't home.  She was apparently with one of their other brothers.

Sigh...

Knowing all this took a fair amount of time, it made me late arriving to worship, with my church family.  However, I was happy that when I arrived, everyone was walking around, greeting each other!

Hallelujah!

I must admit, that even though I was happy I made it to worship, I was upset that my granddaughter, A... wasn't with me.  I felt sad.

Why?  Because, A wasn't able to attend Sunday school, where I worship.  Just as A had told her mom, she wanted to do.

After crying out to God, I did what He wants us to do.  I forgave my daughter, B.

Some people might think forgiveness isn't really necessary.  But, I do.

After all, God told us about what we need to do, in Matthew 6:14-15, "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."

I'm grateful that God has shown us, what we need to do.  Even when things don't go well, in our lives.

I have come to know this, because I read His Word, the Bible... every day.

In fact, I read the whole Bible... every year.  And, sometimes, even more.

Do you?

My friend, the way to know what God expects of you, is by reading His Word... the Bible.

If you haven't ever read it, then I would suggest you begin reading the New Testament portion.  This way, you'll know about our Saviour... our Lord, Jesus Christ.  And, more.

My friend, I pray you will join me, in reading all of God's Word, the Bible, every year.

If you do, you'll be blessed.

Until next time...
