Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I need to mention something I saw/heard on Monday, May 2, 2016.
I was watching Global News on television (TV) channel 22, here in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Global News had me on TV in 1980, when I was collecting names on a petition to have interest rates lowered. The mortgage interest rates were above 20%, at that time.
I always liked Global, until I watched the news when they showed something that I thought was not good. Certainly, not in support of God.
What was it?
They showed an article and discussed what Kirk Cameron, a fellow born-again Christian, talked about concerning marriage. About, how wives should follow their husbands. Here's a link for you to see the article: http://globalnews.ca/news/2674260/kirk-cameron-on-marriage-wives-should-follow-their-husbands/.
The newscasters (I don't know their names), didn't like what Kirk Cameron said. How do I know this?
Well, if you watch the Global News Video about their newscast, you'll understand how they verbally made fun of Kirk Cameron. Here is a link, where you can watch the whole newscast, and see what happened: http://globalnews.ca/toronto/program/global-news-at-530-toronto.
If you watch the Newscast video, you'll see what the news people did, at about the 12 minute portion of the video.
Obviously, those Global News commenters are not truly Christian.
If they were, they would not make fun of Kirk Cameron. If they were, they would have read God's Word, the Bible, and accepted that it is His truth that wives need to follow husbands.
They acted as if Kirk Cameron was wrong.
To me, this was a way Kirk Cameron was being persecuted.
No, he wasn't attacked physically. He was sort of attacked verbally, and visually.
This truly hurt me.
Even so, I forgave them. Just as my God would want me to do.
Thinking of this, reminded me of Ephesians 4:32, " And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
As you just read, I needed to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another... even as God... for Christ's sake hath forgiven me.
After forgiving those news people, I prayed for them.
And, I will continue to pray they will gain salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ. For, they... like any/all unbelievers, need to gain salvation.
If salvation is not obtained by anyone, that person will suffer for eternity... in Hell, once their life here on earth ends. They will be separated from God, and will have no way to escape.
They, need to gain salvation, so that after their life ends here on earth, they will be in Heaven with God... for eternity.
Forever... is a very long time.
Until next time...
