Even though today is Tuesday, I feel I need to say a little more, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) about last SONday. Palm Sunday! The Sunday, before Easter.
After my 40 wink nap that I immensely enjoyed, I ate dinner.
My phone rang with a long distance call. It was my aunt, N.
My aunt, N... lives in Kingston, Ontario. Quite a distance from here.
She wanted to know how my daughter, B was doing. You see, she knew that B had surgery, recently.
I was thankful that my aunt, N has prayed for B, and for my daughter, P... and their family members. In addition to me, also. Of course, I also pray for them!
After discussing her family members, and hearing that she would be spending Easter weekend with some of them, we wished each other Happy Easter!
Then, I began to watch on Fox 2 Detroit, a musical entitled, The Passion.
Originally, I heard about it on Facebook (FB), from a FB friend who actually lives in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA... where the musical took place. Thank you, my friend, T! I'm grateful you told us about it. May God bless you!
As you probably realize, it wasn't the movie with that same title. It was a musical. A live musical on television. And, it was set in today's standards.
Here is a link by hollywoodlife.com where you can not just read about it, but there is also a link for you to click on if you'd like to see it: http://hollywoodlife.com/2016/03/20/the-passion-live-stream-watch-online-video-fox-musical/.
At first, I didn't know for sure if I would like it. After all, as I said previously, it was set in today's standards.
But, I must admit that I truly enjoyed it! It touched my heart.
Seeing how others... like me, were thankful for Jesus' crucifixion, brought tears to my eyes.
And, reminded me of Isaiah 53:5, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
Yes, He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.
Jesus fulfilled God the Father's plan of redemption for us. He gave His life, for the sin of the world, of all who will believe.
Just as we read in God's Word, the Bible.
This musical story of The Passion, made me so very happy.
Not just due to the fact that it was Biblical in nature. Although this did make me happy.
It also made me happy, because so many people from New Orleans participated in it, and so many were there to watch everything that happened, also. The people there, were church family. Saints.
When it ended, it closed with everyone joining in, singing... When The Saints Go Marching In. We'll address this, another day.
Until next time...
