If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday, you'll know that I mentioned El Nino.
You may not know what El Nino is. If not, please click on the link by en.wikipedia.org entitled, El Nino: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Ni%C3%B1o.
I must admit, living here in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, we've experienced an El Nino in the past. It doesn't happen regularly, but it has happened.
What El Nino has done in the area where I live, has been really nice. At least, in my opinion.
Why? Instead of having an extremely cold winter with a huge amount of snow, which is not normal here anyway, we have a fairly warm winter.
Yes, it's still cold. However, some temperatures have been very unusual.
In Windsor, we had a high temperature of 51 F/11 C degrees.
How unusual was this! After all, this is the first week in February.
No, our temperatures have not all been like this. And, in the future week or so, we'll have temperatures near, slightly above, or slightly below freezing... which is fairly normal.
But, from time to time, we've had warm temperatures, like several days this past week. So, instead of having snow, we had rain.
And, we have green grass!
I heard on the news that Toronto, Ontario had a high temperature of 15 C/59 F, even though online I read their temperature was the same as ours, in Windsor.
As I mentioned yesterday, my relative in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, USA doesn't like an El Nino year.
Because in her area, instead of being warm and dry, it's been cold and rainy. Plus, they even have had snow in the area. Okay, mainly on the mountains behind their city.
So, an El Nino year, absolutely changes weather patterns, almost everywhere!
Whether we are happy or not concerning our weather, should it matter to us?
As humans, we can be happy and/or sad. However, when we walk/live in the spirit, it doesn't really matter.
God is in control. We need to trust Him.
Much like we read, in Joshua 1:9, "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."
Yes, He commanded us, to be strong and of good courage. We are to not be afraid, nor dismayed, for the Lord thy God is with us, whithersoever we go. Meaning basically, wherever we are.
We can be happy or sad. It makes no difference.
God will provide, the way He will provide.
And, we need to trust Him, concerning everything in our lives. Not just weather.
My friend, I pray you trust Him. I do.
By doing this, we will be blessed by Him.
For this, I praise God! Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
