Open!

Just like I've said in the past, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be going today to meet with my church family, to worship!

As I'm sure you are aware, I will enjoy all forms of worship.  Including music.

The music I'll share with you today is by C. Michael Hawn, and is entitled, Open My Eyes That I May See.  Here's a link for you to listen to and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPmmQFl58Ec.  The lyrics are below.

Open My Eyes That I May See

Open my eyes, that I may see
Glimpses of truth Thou hast for me;
Place in my hands the wonderful key
That shall unclasp and set me free.

Silently now I wait for Thee,
Ready, my God, Thy will to see;
Open my eyes, illumine me,
Spirit divine!

Open my ears, that I may hear
Voices of truth Thou sendest clear;
And while the wave-notes fall on my ear,
Everything false will disappear.

Silently now I wait for Thee,
Ready, my God, Thy will to see;
Open my ears, illumine me,
Spirit divine!

Open my mouth, and let me bear
Gladly the warm truth everywhere;
Open my heart, and let me prepare
Love with Thy children thus to share.

Silently now I wait for Thee,
Ready, my God, Thy will to see;
Open my heart, illumine me,
Spirit divine!

Yes, silently I wait for Thee.  For, I know I'll be taken to Heaven some day.

In the meantime, I look to God, for everything.  And, it seems He shows me much.  Very much.

It's like He opens my eyes to His truth.

Thinking of this, brought to mind Psalm 119:18, "Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law."

Once we've committed ourselves to God, and placed Him first in our lives, things seem to change.  At least, in my opinion.

It seems He draws me closer to Him.  And, to the reality of His Word... the Bible.

Even though we who have gained salvation do not live under God's law, it is important in our lives.  For it shows us things that are sinful and/or unacceptable to Him.

This topic will be discussed another time.

But, my friend... I pray you look to God, for everything in your life.  If you do, I'm sure you're aware that He will open your eyes, ears and heart... to Him and His Word.

So, please... read the Bible.

Until next time...
