Love Me...

From time to time, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I discuss things about celebrations.

With February, and Valentine's Day happening, I like addressing the issue about love, in various ways.

Just like I'm doing today, regarding... music.  Music that either resonates within me, or music that I adore.

There is a song I like to sing.  And quite some time ago, a friend on Google+ posted it.  :)

It's by J.J. Heller and is entitled, Love Me.  Here is a link for you to listen and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vw_x99vyIC4.  The lyrics are below.

Love Me (aka... Who Will Love Me)

He cries in the corner where nobody sees
He's the kid with the story no one would believe
He prays every night, "Dear God won't you please
Could you send someone here who will love me?"

Who will love me for me
Not for what I have done or what I will become
Who will love me for me
'Cause nobody has shown me what love
What love really means

Her office is shrinking a little each day
She's the woman whose husband has run away
She'll go to the gym after working today
Maybe if she was thinner
Then he would've stayed
And she says:

Who will love me for me?
Not for what I have done or what I will become
Who will love me for me?
'Cause nobody has shown me what love, what love really means

He's waiting to die as he sits all alone
He's a man in a cell who regrets what he's done
He utters a cry from the depths of his soul
"Oh Lord, forgive me, I want to go home"

Then he heard a voice somewhere deep inside
And it said
"I know you've murdered and I know you've lied
I have watched you suffer all of your life
And now that you'll listen, I'll tell you that I..."

I will love you for you
Not for what you have done or what you will become
I will love you for you
I will give you the love
The love that you never knew

Love you for you
Not for what you have done or what you will become
I will love you for you
I will give you the love
The love that you never knew

Some people experience love in their lives.  With family.  With friends.  And even with on-line internet friends.

Some people do not.

At least, not until they look to God.

Why?

His love is so strong, and involves so very much.  There is nothing like it.

Just as we read, in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, "Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away."

Charity... is love

Just as we read, love suffers long, and is kind.  Love envies not and vaunteth not itself, and is not puffed up.

Love does not behave itself unseemly, nor does it seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked and thinks no evil.

We need to not rejoice in iniquity, but we need to rejoice in truth.

Love beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, and endures all things.

Love never fails, but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail.  Whether there be tongues, they shall cease.  Whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

But, love never fails.  Just as we read in God's Word, today.

This is one reason why I entitled the book I wrote, Love Never Fails You...

To me, love is so very important.

Some of us may not have much human love as we live here on earth.  Just as you will have noticed, even in the song posted here, today.

But, we definitely have love... if we have gained salvation.

How does this happen?

Those who believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ shall be saved  (Acts 16:31).

If you trust in/believe upon Him, and become saved... you will be loved.

Until next time...
