Love, Love, Love...

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), from time to time, I discuss things that affect our lives.

February is considered by many people to be... the annual month of love

Valentine's Day, is when people generally celebrate love.  It will be happening within a couple of days.

Even though I am Christian, there has been music in the past that has resonated within me, throughout much of my life.

A song like that, is by the Beatles and is entitled, All You Need Is Love.  Here is a link for you to listen to and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKiqthx0GKw.  The lyrics are below.

All You Need Is Love

(Love, love, love)
(Love, love, love)
(Love, love, love)

There's nothing you can do that can't be done
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It's easy

There's nothing you can make that can't be made
No one you can save that can't be saved
Nothing you can do but you can learn to be you in time
It's easy

All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

There's nothing you can know that isn't known
Nothing you can see that isn't shown
There's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be
It's easy

All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

All you need is love, all together now
All you need is love, everybody
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

Love is all you need
Love is all you need
Love is all you need
Love is all you need
Love is all you need...  (repeatedly)

He loves you... yeah, yeah, yeah
He loves you... yeah, yeah, yeah

It's true.  All we need is... love.

God's love.

He loves me... and He loves you.  Just as this song tells us, even though it isn't truly relating to God.

Thinking about the love that God has for us, reminded me of 1 John 4:10, "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins."

How wonderful is His love?!

In my mind, there is nothing more important than His love.

Why would I think this?

Well, to be honest, life isn't easy.  Especially, when the person you loved, has died.  Like my husband.

Yes, he loved me.  I know he did.  And, I loved him.

That love is now gone.  It's disappeared.  And will never be returned to life here on earth, for Gordon is now in Heaven due to his death.

But, God loves me.

And, He loves you.

Just as we read in today's Bible verse, He sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Yes, Jesus came to earth.  He opened the door for us to have salvation, and be granted everlasting life with Him, in Heaven.

Jesus also paid the price for our sin.  And, for the sin of the world, of all who will believe upon Him to gain salvation.

Truly, can you ever think of greater love than this?

I can't.  Hopefully, you agree!

For there is truly, no greater love.

Until next time...
