Forever...

Hopefully, you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday.

If you did, you'll be aware that I was going to worship with my church family.

Unfortunately, my granddaughter, A wasn't with me.

However, we had a couple visit with us.  In fact, they are missionaries our church family supports, who work in the area of the Welland Canal, here in Ontario, Canada.

If you'd like to understand what the Welland Canal is, please click on this link:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welland_Canal.

If you didn't read that article, you need to know that the Welland Canal is... " is a ship canal in Ontario, Canada, connecting Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. Traversing the Niagara Peninsula from Port Weller to Port Colborne, the canal forms a key section of the St. Lawrence Seaway, enabling ships to ascend and descend the Niagara Escarpment and bypass Niagara Falls."

What these missionaries do, is basically what they told us they do.  Please know they have done this for 44 years, now!

During the speaking event before our worship service, we were told about how they help people who work on ships passing through the canal.  They actually give to ship workers whatever they can, to provide things they may need.  Like toothpaste, soap, and many other types of items.  Items that people like our church family... donate.

During our worship service, it was made clear to us that they do exactly what I quoted on yesterday's LwL entry.  They do all they can, to preach the gospel to all the creatures of the earth (Mark 16:15).

Those who have gained salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, realize how important it is to preach the gospel to all the creatures of the earth.

Why?  Not just because they are being obedient to God's calling.  But, also because whoever does this helps others to become saved, by planting those seeds for Christ.

They help people realize they need salvation, and help draw them to Christ.

This way, the unsaved person can realize they can easily become saved, by calling upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Just as we read, in Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Calling upon the Lord, Jesus Christ... is the most wonderful thing anyone can do.

Without doing this, when their life ends, they will suffer for eternity in Hell.  They'll be separated from God... with no chance of escape... forever.

But, if they gain salvation and call upon the name of the Lord, they shall spend eternity in Heaven with God.  By doing this, they will forever be blessed.

F...O...R...E...V...E...R...  is a very long time.  And, it never ends.

My friend, if you haven't yet gained salvation, please trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Tomorrow, may be too late.

Until next time...
