Amen!

You've heard me say before, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) about how much I enjoy our worship services.

To me, it's a wonderful time to spend with my church family.

Especially, on the first SONday of the month!  The day when we have communion!

Having communion was truly a blessing, yesterday.  Of course, it seems to be that way for me, always!

However, there was something else that also touched my heart.

It involved my granddaughter, A.   I was able to bring her to Sunday school.

As I've said in the past, she doesn't immediately go with other children to Sunday school.  Together, we both go into the sanctuary.

While we sing, read God's Word... the Bible, pray and do a few other things, A is with me.  All this happens prior to the children leaving to be taught by their Sunday school teachers.

After our offering is taken, we all stand up.

Together, we sing the first verse of Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow, and end it singing... amen!  Here are the lyrics we sing:

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heav’nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!

Amen...

While we were singing this, I looked down, at A.

Tears filled up in my eyes.  My heart felt like it was going to burst open.

I was truly happy.  And, grateful to our Lord.

Why?

A, who is only five (5) years old, and who has only been attending church for a few months (off and on), did something that made me want to scream... PRAISE GOD!  THANK YOU, LORD!

She sang with me and with all my church family, all the lyrics quoted above, that we sang.  Including... amen!

Please know, she cannot read the lyrics on the screen.  She's too short to see the lyrics, that have only recently been added.  (We used to sing it, without lyrics being shown.)  Plus, who knows for sure if she can read it, anyway.

Silently, I praised God!

While looking at A, I saw she had her hands together, in a prayer mode.  This truly touched my heart, just as I previously said.

By seeing this, I realized that God was giving A, grace.  And, growing her in knowledge.

Thinking of this, brought to mind 2 Peter 3:18, "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen."

Yes, to Him be the glory, both now and forever... amen!

He has given grace to, A.  Grace that has helped her grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

For this, I am truly grateful.  And, always will be.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
