As I've said and done in the past, I enjoy worshipping not just in spirit and in truth. But, also... through music!
A hymn came to mind that was written by Rufus H. McDaniel and Charles H. Gabriel. It's called, Since Jesus Came Into My Heart. Here is a link for you to listen and/or sing along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHsx-T0rzKo. The lyrics are below.
Since Jesus Came Into My Heart
What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought
Since Jesus came into my heart;
I have light in my soul for which long I have sought,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
Since Jesus came into my heart,
Since Jesus came into my heart;
Floods of joy o’er my soul like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
Since Jesus came into my heart;
Floods of joy o’er my soul like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
I have ceased from my wand’ring and going astray,
Since Jesus came into my heart;
And my sins which were many are all washed away,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
Since Jesus came into my heart;
And my sins which were many are all washed away,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
Since Jesus came into my heart,
Since Jesus came into my heart;
Floods of joy o’er my soul like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
Since Jesus came into my heart;
Floods of joy o’er my soul like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
I’m possessed of a hope that is steadfast and sure,
Since Jesus came into my heart;
And no dark clouds of doubt now my pathway obscure,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
Since Jesus came into my heart;
And no dark clouds of doubt now my pathway obscure,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
Since Jesus came into my heart,
Since Jesus came into my heart;
Floods of joy o’er my soul like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
Since Jesus came into my heart;
Floods of joy o’er my soul like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
There’s a light in the valley of death now for me,
Since Jesus came into my heart;
And the gates of the City beyond I can see,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
Since Jesus came into my heart;
And the gates of the City beyond I can see,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
Since Jesus came into my heart,
Since Jesus came into my heart;
Floods of joy o’er my soul like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
Since Jesus came into my heart;
Floods of joy o’er my soul like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
I shall go there to dwell in that City I know,
Since Jesus came into my heart;
And I’m happy, so happy as onward I go,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
Since Jesus came into my heart;
And I’m happy, so happy as onward I go,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
Since Jesus came into my heart,
Since Jesus came into my heart;
Floods of joy o’er my soul like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
Since Jesus came into my heart;
Floods of joy o’er my soul like the sea billows roll,
Since Jesus came into my heart.
Just as we hear/see in the lyrics, we become joyful when Jesus comes into our hearts.
When I first came to know about Jesus, I was a child.
At the time, my family and I didn't live in Canada, where I was born. We lived in Detroit, Michigan, USA. And, worshipped at a Methodist church.
Thinking about coming to know about Jesus, reminded me of Matthew 19:14, "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
How grateful I am that I came to know about our Lord! How thankful I am that as a little child, I was not forbidden to come to know about Him!
For, by coming to Him leads us to salvation... when we trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Yes, it's been a long time, since Jesus came into my heart. Especially, since I was a child when I first learned about Him.
Even so, I am thankful. And, always will be!
Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
