Go!

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be letting you know once again, that I am going to worship with my church family.

Our worship service will be wonderful, because the children will be participating in a Christmas musical play.  I know it will touch my heart.  Just as our regular worship does... but, more.

Knowing that it is close to Christmas, I thought I would share with you some music I sang last weekend, at my friend's church dinner that I attended.  I'm sure you are aware of it.

In addition to other songs I sang, I sang... O Holy Night.  It was originally written by Adolphe Adam and later, lyrics were by Placide Cappeau and John Sullivan Dwight.  Here is a link sung by Josh Groban, so you can listen to and/or sing along to his version:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17kiIIxSdC0.  The lyrics are below.

O Holy Night

Oh, holy night
The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth

A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees
Oh, hear the Angel voices

Oh night divine, oh night
When Christ was born
O, night divine, oh night
Oh night divine

Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise His holy name
Christ is the Lord, let ever, ever praise Thee

Noel, noel
Oh night, oh night divine
Noel, noel
Oh night, oh night divine
Noel, noel
Oh night, oh night divine

Our Saviour's birth was a true Holy night.  A night when our Lord, Jesus Christ was born.

We may not know exactly when He was born.  But to me, it doesn't matter.

I celebrate our Lord, Jesus Christ every day of my life.

Since the world generally wants to celebrate His birth on December 25th of each year, I accept that.  For this gives not just me, but every single brother and sister in Christ an opportunity to not just celebrate Jesus' birth... but, also plant those seeds for Christ.

Just as we were told to do, in Mark 16:15, "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."

Yes, we are to go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

And, I do.

Whatever and whenever I can, I do whatever I can do to fulfil God's command to me.  I let people know about Jesus.

I let them know about their need for salvation.  And, I let them know that by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, they shall be saved (Acts 16:31).

God didn't expect this only of me.  He expects it of you, also.

Hopefully, you do the same.

If you do, God will bless you.  Always.

Until next time...
