What I wrote about on Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday, was not all I did on SONday.
Knowing that we had a meeting after our church service, I stayed with my church family.
My daughter, B and my granddaughter, A also stayed with me. Not for the meeting, but because after that the children were gathering to practice for the musical play they will be doing this coming Sunday.
Eventually, B left with, A. And, I went home, for a short time.
You see, I had to leave home again, later in the afternoon.
I drove over to the Riverside Banquet Hall. This is where I was to have dinner with some friends from Riverside Baptist Church.
In addition, I was scheduled to sing for the group of about 68 people.
Sing, I did. A capella (without music).
In addition, there was a 4 person group of teenagers, who also sang for us, with their music! They were great!
After dinner, those of us who brought a gift suitable for both male and female people, participated in a game.
I received a large item that many people would like. But, I ended up having it taken by someone else, and ended up with a much smaller gift.
To me, this worked out well, though! Thank You, Lord! :)
I must admit, it made me feel so wonderful spending time with fellow Christians. Some I knew, and some I met.
Of course, our meal was absolutely delicious!
Thinking of eating and doing other things brought to mind 1 Corinthians 10:31, "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."
Yes, it's truly important what we read, concerning all we do. We need to do ALL to the glory of God.
Even though we as a group, all enjoyed everything we did, I know we did ALL to the glory of God. For, we brothers and sisters in Christ, all love God.
And, honour Him, whenever we can.
Until next time...
