A Gift!

Just as I regularly let you know, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), today I am going to worship with my church family.  :)

Like normal, I will enjoy worshipping in spirit and in truth.  And, through music!

I'm sharing with you a hymn by C. Austin Miles entitled, A New Name in Glory.  Here's a link for you to listen to and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yTJC-zSx-I.  The lyrics are below.

A New Name in Glory

I was once a sinner, but I came
Pardon to receive from my Lord:
This was freely given, and I found
That He always kept His word.

There’s a new name written down in glory,
And it’s mine, O yes, it’s mine!
And the white robed angels sing the story,
“A sinner has come home.”
For there’s a new name written down in glory,
And it’s mine, O yes, it’s mine!
With my sins forgiven I am bound for Heaven,
Never more to roam.

(This verse and refrain were not recorded)
I was humbly kneeling at the cross,
Fearing naught but God’s angry frown;
When the heavens opened and I saw
That my name was written down.

There’s a new name written down in glory,
And it’s mine, O yes, it’s mine!
And the white robed angels sing the story,
“A sinner has come home.”
For there’s a new name written down in glory,
And it’s mine, O yes, it’s mine!
With my sins forgiven I am bound for Heaven,
Never more to roam.)

In the Book ’tis written, “Saved by Grace,”
O the joy that came to my soul!
Now I am forgiven, and I know
By the blood I am made whole.

Yes, just as we read in the lyrics...'in the Book 'tis written, "Saved by Grace,"'.

To me, it's so wonderful hearing this in any music.  After all, we are truly saved by grace, just as God told us in His Book, the Bible.

And, just as we read, in Ephesians 2:8, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Being saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ, alone... is so very beautiful to me.

After all, becoming saved is the gift of God... not of works, meaning there's nothing we can do to gain salvation... lest anyone should boast.

For this, I am truly grateful!  And, always will be.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
