Desire Fulfilled!

Like many other Mondays, I'll let you know here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) what SONday meant to me.

It was truly a blessing picking up my granddaughter, A... and bringing her to worship with my church family!

Did we go back to her home immediately after our worship service, and after she finished her Sunday school time?  No.

After our worship service, we had a pot-luck luncheon.  I must admit, A absolutely loves this!  :)

We didn't leave immediately after our luncheon finished.  I had to stay, due to having a meeting held for all our church family.

A, played for a while, in an area where she enjoys being with other children.  Then, she was taken upstairs, to where many children were learning about what they need to do in a play that will take place, later this month.

Apparently she also got to play the set of drums, for a while.  She was truly happy about that!

Did we leave after that?  No.

You see, I've joined the choir.  And, we had to spend time together, practicing music.

Eventually, we made it to A's home.  It was about 4:30 p.m.

In addition to visiting with some of my grandchildren, I enjoyed dinner with my daughter B and her fella, E!

Thank you for making turkey stew, B!  Ahhh... it was absolutely delicious!  Of course, so was our special dessert!

May God bless you for having me join you and my family members who were there!  To me, it was a wonderful time of celebration.  :)

You see, joining us was a son of B, my grandson, N... who has been living in Ottawa.  He has been here in our city, for about a week.

Knowing that N may not be able to come for Christmas and/or for his birthday, the plan was to celebrate those special days, with him.  For this, I praise God!  Thank You, Lord!

You see, even though it wasn't Christmas Day, or N's birthday, I was happy that God had answered my prayer, of hoping to see him.  For I truly miss, N!

Thinking about how He fulfilled my heart's desire, made me think of Psalm 37:4, "Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."

Yes, I am so very happy to delight myself also in the Lord!  He's so very important to me.

And, because I do that, He gave me the desire of my heart.  What a blessing!!

I was so thankful that God provided so that we could spend time together.

For this, I will always be thankful.  Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
