Around Me...

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll be letting you know about how I was encouraged, one day.

You see, on that day, I felt totally upset.  And, felt like my life was so difficult, that it was filled with lack of love.

As I just said, I had experienced a very traumatically, stressful day.  As a result, I was praying that God would help me.

Later that same day, a Facebook (FB) friend posted a link to a song, on Google+.

It was shortly after arriving home, that I began doing some computer work and found that song.

The song was by The Oak Ridge Boys entitled, Put Your Arms Around Me Blessed Jesus.  Here is a link, for you to listen and/or sing along:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrDqdf3i2jo.  The lyrics are below.

Put Your Arms Around Me Blessed Jesus

It's dark and cold and I'm so all alone
It seems like I'm a million miles from home
No one I can call on and I ain't even got one dime
Now help me Jesus help me one more time

Put Your arms around me blessed Jesus
Wrap me in the shelter of Your love
If the wind should blow and toss my soul
Step on board step on board
Put Your arms around me blessed Lord

Lord I made the same mistakes again
My luck's run out I'm down to my last friend
And though I don't deserve it
I know You'll hear me when I plead
Help me Jesus help in my need

Put Your arms around me blessed Jesus
Wrap me in the shelter of Your love
If the wind should blow and toss my soul
Step on board step on board
Put Your arms around me blessed Lord

Put Your arms around me blessed Jesus
Wrap me in the shelter of Your love
If the wind should blow and toss my soul
Step on board step on board
Put Your arms around me blessed Lord, Blessed Lord

I must admit, I truly felt I needed some love, that evening.

You see, I had experienced such a terrible time that I truly felt unloved.  Unwanted.  And, definitely hated.

I truly felt that the person involved in that situation wasn't feeling any love.  Not at all.  At least, not for me.

Thinking about love, once again brought to mind, 1 John 4:8, "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."

In the past, I thought possibly this person knew God, and was saved.  But, after experiencing what I went through along with other things that had happened in the past, I realized that my prior thoughts were probably wrong.

Of course, only God knows, for sure.  I prayed for that person.

I must admit, I was thankful to Him.

He literally wrapped me in the shelter of His love.  He lifted me up, and encouraged me, as I prayed.

For this, I am thankful.  Truly thankful for the answered prayer, I received.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
