If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) recently, you'll know that from September 30th until now, was and still is, a very important time in my life.
This includes dates like October 1st and October 2nd... right up to October 10th, and even to October 16th.
These dates all apply to what happened to my now deceased husband, Gordon.
Gordon collapsed. Then was hospitalized. His life ended. And, he was buried.
Yes, today is the 6th anniversary of my husband Gordon's death. The hospital unplugged him, and he was pronounced dead by 12:30 a.m. on October 10, 2009.
Did this make me happy?
Of course, not. Especially, since he was not brain-dead, when this was done.
Plus, I miss having him with me.
Even so, I am glad he is in Heaven, with God.
Thinking about what happens when we die, brought to mind Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
I know that I have called upon the name of the Lord.
I know that I have trusted in/believed upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, for a very long time.
Therefore, I have gained salvation.
Once my life ends here on earth, I will spend eternity in Heaven... with God. And, with Gordon.
You see, even though he was not perfect, God loved him. And, provided him with salvation, also.
For this, I will always be grateful.
Thank you, Lord!
Until next time...
