Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I usually let you know that I am going to spend time with my church family.
Together, we do our Bible study/Adult Sunday school class. Afterwards, we enter the sanctuary, together. And, we worship.
Today, will be one of those days. After all, it is SONday. Our Lord's Day!
As you probably know, I also enjoy worshipping through music.
The music I am sharing today, is by H. Percy Smith and Washington Gladden. It's entitled, O Master, Let Me Walk With Thee. Here's a link for you to listen and/or sing along: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXwXQnsaL3A. The lyrics are below.
O Master, Let Me Walk With Thee
O Master, let me walk with Thee,
In lowly paths of service free;
Tell me Thy secret; help me bear
The strain of toil, the fret of care.
(These verses were not recorded:
Help me the slow of heart to move
By some clear, winning word of love;
Teach me the wayward feet to stay,
And guide them in the homeward way.
O Master, let me walk with Thee,
Before the taunting Pharisee;
Help me to bear the sting of spite,
The hate of men who hide Thy light.
The sore distrust of souls sincere
Who cannot read Thy judgments clear,
The dullness of the multitude,
Who dimly guess that Thou art good.)
Teach me Thy patience; still with Thee
In closer, dearer, company,
In work that keeps faith sweet and strong,
In trust that triumphs over wrong.
In hope that sends a shining ray
Far down the future’s broadening way,
In peace that only Thou canst give,
With Thee, O Master, let me live.
This hymn is such a good one. I adore it, for it calls out to our Lord, to help us, teach us, and provide for us.
And, it helps us to know that we need to walk with Him.
Just as we read, in Colossians 2:6, "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:"
We need to walk in Him. With Him. And, rely upon Him, for everything in our lives.
Do you?
Do you love Jesus?
Are you trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ?
My friend, if you aren't, you will suffer for eternity. And, you will never be able to change your existence, for you will be separated from God... f o r e v e r. With no chance of escape from Hell.
Come to Christ. Trust in/believe upon Him, and you will be saved. For eternity.
Forever, is a long time.
Hopefully, we'll be together in Heaven, glorifying Him!
Until next time...
