Thank You!

As I said yesterday, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I was thankful to have been able to check-in the hotel earlier than normally required.

To be honest, once I went to my room, I felt even more blessed!

Yes, the room was beautiful! The room's decor matched the name of the hotel. It was done in an old west theme. I wish I had a pic I could show you.  :(

Even though the room décor was of the old west style, it was truly a wonderful room.  And, very up-to-date, featuring a king-size bed, table and chairs, television (TV), plus a quiet air-conditioning system that kept my room so very comfy!

Just so you know, I have never before stayed at this hotel.  This was my first time, there.  And, I truly enjoyed it, even though I wasn't truly happy about being alone on this trip.

I had stayed at a couple of other hotels in the past, while making my way to my cousin's in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, or when touring part of USA's southwest with my deceased husband Gordon. Wanting to check them out, I took a drive through the area.

To be honest, it had changed very much!

Driving along Casino Drive, reminded me of Las Vegas Blvd., in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It was very different than I had seen it in the past. But then, it has been many, many years since I had been in this area.

A hotel my now deceased husband Gordon and I stayed at, and where one of my daughter's and I had stayed on another trip, many, many, many years ago, looked very different. And, the name had changed.

Online, their fees were much higher than what I was paying on this trip, staying at Pioneer Hotel & Gambling Hall.  Thank You, Lord!

I walked in, to see what it was like inside. I thought maybe I would have a meal, there.

But, I didn't.

The interior was very different. The layout of what was anywhere, had totally changed. And, the carpeting was a dirty mess.

Sigh...

I was then happy that I had not arranged to stay, there!

Please know that after talking with someone later, I found out that this hotel had recently been sold again.  The new owners were actually renovating and upgrading, because it truly needed to be done.

For this, I praise God!

Please know that I won't tell you the name of the hotel, but I will show you a pic of it:

Here is the hotel where some of my family and I had stayed
in the past.  I was grateful to hear that it was being upgraded
and redecorated.  Hallelujah!

Afterwards, I drove back to McDonald's across the Colorado River, in Bullhead City, AZ.

I must admit, I was very happy to have done so. I didn't really want to pay extra fees to be able to use the internet, where I was staying.

That's where I had a few meals. And, returned to use their free WIFI, a few times.  Thank you, McDonald's!

On a different trip , driving through Laughlin, I stopped at the other hotel I had stayed at in the past, many, many, many years ago. It seemed to have doubled or possibly even tripled in size!

While entering to look around, I was once again shocked!

No, it didn't wasn't like the one I mentioned earlier. But, it was truly different inside. Plus, when I asked workers a question a couple of times, they didn't seem friendly, as they had in the past.

Wow!

This truly amazed me. Not just due to people's attitudes, but thinking about how this area had changed to become like a mini-version of Las Vegas.

Sigh...

Even so, I was glad to have found the right place to stay on this trip. I believe God led me, there.

I believe He provided the wisdom I needed, when I chose where to stay.  Even though I had never before stayed there!

Just as we read, in James 1:5, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

Yes, God gave me the wisdom, when I checked out hotels on-line before I travelled.  He answered my prayer.

For this, I am truly grateful!

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
