From time to time, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) I address issues of hurtfulness to God. And, to me. Today, is one of those days.
At the end of July, a Facebook (FB) friend shared a link on my wall/timeline.
Being a fellow Christian, I knew this news item upset her. Just as it did, me.
The link was by cbc.ca/news, and is entitled, Satanic Temple holds public sculpture unveiling in Detroit. Here is the link, so you can read it: http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/satanic-temple-holds-public-sculpture-unveiling-in-detroit-1.3168136.
I must admit, it is pretty upsetting for me, to hear of something like that happening.
Okay, so it didn't happen in my city, Windsor, Ontario, Canada. It happened in Detroit, Michigan, USA.
Just realize, it happened across the Detroit River that separates Canada from USA. Across the river, in a part of the city that is easily seen from our shoreline.
This was truly upsetting to me.
After all, being Christian isn't easy. At least, not any more.
It's pretty awful when people representing the evilness of the world, are able to arrange for something like this to happen. Especially, since it seems that in this day and age, we Christians cannot arrange for anything promoting Christianity to be shown to the public.
Yes, it was hurtful to me. And, probably to fellow Christians, too.
Even so, I will speak of God and refer to Him, in a positive way. After all, those who are doing what they are doing on Satan's behalf are doing so in an effort to hurt me. And, fellow Christians.
Thinking of this, reminded me of Psalm 71:24, "My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt."
Yes, my tongue shall talk of Thy righteousness, always. For, those who are confounded, or wanting to express anger towards us Christians, will be brought unto shame.
In my heart, I know I forgive those who want to hurt me.
But, they need to realize that this doesn't mean that they will never suffer for what they have done. They will.
For, unless they gain salvation by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, they will suffer for eternity. They will become separated from God, once their lives here on earth, ends. And, they will never be able to escape being in Hell, for eternity.
Meaning... f o r e v e r.
Thinking of this, may make some people happy.
Not me, though. It breaks my heart thinking that anyone will have that happen to them. But, it will.
After all, God's will is always done.
Until next time...
