Safety!

Hopefully, you read Life with Lynnie (LwL), yesterday.  If you did, you'll know that I enjoyed my time in Laughlin, Nevada, USA.

In case you didn't know... the reason I stayed there, was because after I had arranged my air flight to visit my cousin and her husband, something happened.

Her son had contacted her and let her know that he, his wife, his children, and some grandchildren were going to visit her and her husband, on that same long holiday weekend of July 4th.

Knowing that I didn't want to barge in since their family lives in California, and they rarely have them visit, I told them I would stay elsewhere, until after their family left.  And, they had time to settle their home, again.

After all, family time, is very important!

I also knew that if I had travelled to Lake Havasu City and stayed in a hotel/motel there, my cousin might not have felt great about me staying alone, in their city.  So, instead... I stayed in Laughlin, Nevada, as you know.

As I checked out of the hotel, I noticed that outside the main entrance, there were a couple of old west items.  Here they are:

This is a carriage that I believe is ancient.
The sign tells people to not touch it.  I didn't.

This sign brought a smile to my face!  :)

After enjoying my accommodation, I am sure I will probably go back there, again.

Of course, I have no plans, at this time.  However, if God's plan for me is to return to that area, I am sure I will stay there.

Off I drove.  Only after praying for travelling mercies!

After crossing over the bridge leading to Bullhead City, Arizona, I continued south on Arizona Hwy. #95.  Yes, it may be confusing, since there is Hwy. #95 in both Nevada and Arizona, and they are not the same roadways.

When I had travelled that way many years ago, it only took about 45 minutes to drive to Lake Havasu City (LHC), Arizona.  On this trip, it took me at least double that time, or a little bit more time than that.

In any case, I realized that because Bullhead City had grown in size, there were many more traffic lights.  Yes, I stopped many times.

The roadway took me through Needles, California.  Then, I entered onto I-40 heading east, towards where I was going to exit back onto Arizona Hwy. #95 south, once again.

Even after I exited I-40 and continued south on Hwy. #95, I could hardly believe how that area had changed, also.  It seemed that instead of just seeing desert area, there were more areas with commercial buildings and residential areas.

Eventually, I made it to where I was due to arrive, in LHC.  Here's a pic for you to view:

This is my cousin E and her husband E's home,
in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

As I drove up their steep driveway, I once again thanked God!

I thanked Him not just for leading me there without any errors.  But, I also thanked Him for travelling mercies.

After the three (3) of us spent some time together, we all decided to take a short nap.  They went in their bedroom.  I went in mine.

Before dozing off, I read some of my Bible.  And, prayed... thanking God for keeping me safe.

This brought to mind, Psalm 4:8, " I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety."

Yes, He always provides.  In so many ways.  Just as He did that day.

As I said, He gave me travelling mercies, and kept me safe.  Plus, when I went to lay down and rest, He gave me peace when I slept.

How great was that!  I was truly thankful.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
