Today, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll let you know about a couple of things, concerning my church family. As you know, we worship at Walkerville Evangelical Baptist Church, (WEBC) 815 Windermere Rd., Windsor, ON, Canada.
First of all, I need to tell you that on SONday, I had a Facebook (FB) friend join me and my church family to worship. :)
Afterwards, we had a pot-luck luncheon. At that time, we not only enjoyed some delicious food, but we also enjoyed time talking together. And, with others.
It turns out that another lady, who during our worship service, sat in the same pew row as my FB friend, came to Canada from Nigeria. Just as my friend had. And, both of these sisters in the Lord, knew each other! :)
Isn't it amazing, how God works?!
Last evening, was the first day of our Daily Vacation Bible School (DVBS) for this year! Yes, it only happens for one (1) week, every year.
In the past, I have never attended DVBS. In fact, knowing that none of my family ever participated, made me feel like I would feel heartbroken, if I did attend.
Okay. It's not for adults. It's for children. But, none of my grandchildren ever attended DVBS.
At least, not until yesterday!
Normally, DVBS takes place during the day. But, not with my church family, for many work during the day.
Instead, it takes place at WEBC in the evening. From 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Yesterday, I was able to pick up my granddaughter A, and bring her for DVBS!
A is only five (5) years old. And, is quite hyper-active.
But, my oh my... did she enjoy herself!
Unfortunately, she and other children were given some candy. Then, she didn't slow down. She sped up, moving quickly everywhere.
However, those who were in charge seemed to adore her. And, she adored them.
In fact, on the way home, she let me know she loved the ladies who took care of her and her group!
For this, I praise God. And, always will.
I'll praise God for how my granddaughter A, feels. But, I will also praise God for Him arranging for A to be able to join in at DVBS.
After all, as a child, she needs to be able to learn about Jesus. She needs to love Him. And, she needs to focus on Him.
Thinking about how Jesus loved children, brought to mind Matthew 19:14, "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
Yes, just as Jesus said, we need to let little children come to Him. We need to not forbid them from doing this. For they need the kingdom of Heaven.
Just as every single one of us do!
We all need to trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ... in order to become saved. By gaining salvation we will live, forever.
Not in this physical life. But, we will live forever with God, due to gaining salvation through our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Hallelujah!
By the way, if you can bring a child, or even a teenager to WEBC this evening, or even any evening this week to attend DVBS, please know you are welcome do so. Please, do so if you can... for God will bless you! And, whoever it is who participates!
Until next time...
