Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), usually on a Monday, I discuss how I worshipped.
Yes, I worshipped on our Lord's Day. But, I thought I would discuss something a little bit different.
I thought I should discuss about meeting and spending time with fellow Christians. Those who are literally, brothers and sisters in the Lord.
Saturday, August 1st, was the first Saturday of the month.
This was the day our group called Christian Singles Café, was scheduled to get together. We meet up at Tim Hortons, on Tecumseh Rd. E. (next door to Red Lobster and Joseph's Market), here in Windsor, ON.
Before I began having so many surgeries/operations about three (3) years ago, we had a group that had up to about 30 people. After I returned, when able to drive and join in, I found our group was very small.
Then, our group leader moved away. When she returned a few months later, she still wanted me to lead the group.
Sigh...
So many people had either moved out of town, gotten married, or died. It was upsetting to see that we only had a handful of people, in attendance.
Even so, we are friends. And, to me it is wonderful that we go from home, to spend some time with friends and/or church family.
On August 1st, we only had four (4) people attend. However, three (3) of them, were fairly new to the group! Thank You, Lord!
It was a lovely time, together. At least, in my mind, it was!
A few days later, I heard from a friend who has recently shown up at Timmy's.
To my surprise, she let me know that she had met a fellow. And, they have been dating.
Ahhh... no wonder she didn't show up!
Even so, as I told her, I was truly happy for her. And, I'm praying that God has brought them, together.
I also met up with a lady who used to attend our group. She let me know that she had gotten married!
For this, I praised God!
She's a lovely woman. And, I had prayed in the past that God would provide a spouse for her. Thank You, for the answered prayer, Lord!
Thinking of this, brought to mind Psalm 37:4, "Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."
I must admit, I delight myself in the Lord. And, I trust Him. I believe He shall give me the desires of my heart.
After all, in many ways, He has already done this. Not just for others, but also for me.
As for any desires of my heart that have not yet been fulfilled, I know that God will provide. In His time!
For this, I am truly thankful! Thank You, Lord.
Until next time...
