Did you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) a few days ago? If so, you'll know that I had planned to travel to visit my cousin and her husband, in Lake Havasu City (LHC), Arizona, USA.
It was a special date, when I was due to leave. It was July 4th. Independence Day, in USA. And, that was where I was flying from.
With less than three (3) hours sleep, I got up. Finishing up packing and getting ready took a little longer than I expected.
Even so, I made my way to the border. After all, I live in Canada.
On the way there, I thought about how long it might take me to cross the border. You see, I had been hearing that security was at risk.
Thinking about this, made me feel rather upset. I realized that if there was a lot of traffic, like there usually is, I could be lined up waiting for far more time than normal.
Going through the tunnel, I prayed.
I prayed that God would make a way where there wasn't one. That He would make it so that there were NO vehicles lined up. That there would be NO ONE trying to cross the border.
If ever you attempted to cross the border from Windsor, Ontario, Canada to Detroit, Michigan, USA, you'll know that there is ALWAYS vehicles linded up. Sometimes few, but quite often... many, many, many. In fact, the last time I went across, it took me about 45 minutes to get through customs.
There I was, praying as I drove through the tunnel. And, letting God know that I was trusting Him to get me through customs, without delay.
To my surprise, when I arose from the tunnel and approached the customs area, the whole area was empty. Not one vehicle was there!
Even though I was truly happy and grateful that God had blessed me, I must say it was truly shocking. This had NEVER, EVER before happened!
Being an American holiday date, it made this even more shocking. Normally, in the past, I've seen traffic lined up, even through the tunnel!
Thinking about how God had been so good to me, brought to mind Psalm 34:8, "O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him."
Yes, I know that the Lord is good. And, I know I am blessed, for I trusteth in Him!
Do you trust in our Lord, Jesus Christ?
If not, you may get through life okay, but you will end up spending eternity in Hell. Separated from God. With no chance of escape.
This is not what I would wish for you.
Please, read God's Word, the Bible. Begin in the New Testament portion.
You will see how God truly loves you. And, will save you if you trust in/believe upon our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Hopefully, you'll do this, my friend. For then, we'll be together some day, in Heaven.
Until next time...
