Done!

Hopefully, you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) last week.

If you did, you'll know that I went out on both Friday and Saturday evenings.

Where did I go?  I went to a nearby church, and watched a movie that I believe is probably the best Christian film I have ever seen!

How grateful I was to have seen Do You Believe?  Not just once, but twice!

There's something I need to tell you, though.

Yes, I mentioned how God provided for me, on Saturday evening by returning my jacket to me.  But, He provided for me, in a very different way, also.

You see, our weather on Saturday, June 26th, was terrible.

In fact, throughout most of the day, I didn't think I would go out.  Not at all!  Not, anywhere.

Why?

It rained.  Literally, all day and all evening.

And, the wind was so very strong.  VERY strong.

But, after talking with my daughter P and realizing that she needed me to bring her some more pain meds, I knew I would have to go out.  Even if I didn't want to.

I prayed.

God provided.

Don't believe me?

He did!

The wind and rain were so severe, that some of our roadways were flooding.  Tree branches were all over the roadways.  And, people had their windshield wipers rotating at the fastest they could.

No, there wasn't many cars out on the road.  But, there were some.

As I said, I prayed, asking God to let the rain stop.  Even just for a few minutes, so that I wouldn't get soaked upon leaving my vehicle.

Just so you know, my friend A had told me earlier in the day, that she had to go to the store.  Wearing a t-shirt, blouse and a raincoat, she didn't think she would have a problem.

She did, though.  A let me know that she got soaked 100%.  Even her skin was wet, when she returned home.

I didn't want this to happen to me.  Especially, since I knew I'd have to leave my vehicle at least twice, before being able to enter the church building to watch the movie.

When I arrived at P's, her boyfriend K came out to my van.  This meant I didn't have to get out, and get wet.

However, God answered my prayer.  The rain let up, so that it was hardly a light drizzle, when K received the pain meds from me.

As soon as I drove away, I thanked God.

The rain, came hailing down, once again!

When I arrived at the church building, it stopped.  Yes, it again stopped.

And, I didn't even get wet, at all!!!

Yet, after I stepped inside the building, the rain began to pour down in such a heavy way!

When I say I was thankful, I'm sure you can understand how I felt.  And, accept that I was truly grateful that God answered my prayer.

Thinking of this, reminded me of John 15:7, "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."

If we abide in Him, and His words abide in us, whatever we ask, shall be done for us.  Just as we read, in today's Bible verse.

Realizing that God does things like this for me, on a fairly regular basis, confirms to me that I am abiding in Him.  And His words (from the Bible) abide in me.  For it seems that for the majority of the time, whatever I ask of Him, He does for me.

Okay.  Maybe not in huge situations, that may be hard to deal with.

But, He provides for me, even in the smallest ways.  In ways, that He doesn't really have to do for me.  But, He does.

Thank You, Lord!

Thank You, for loving me.  For caring for me.  For providing for me... even in the smallest ways.

You make me feel blessed.

For, I know that even though I haven't had much love in my life... You love me.

Hallelujah!

Until next time...
