Truth...

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), today I'll discuss something that I truly believe needs to be done.

I truly believe that any/all of us injured/disabled workers, need to speak up.

Today, will be the last time I'll discuss this issue for a while.  At least, possibly until I write the next book I intend to become the author of.

As you know, I am the author of the book entitled,  Love Never Fails You...

In that book, I wrote only a chapter about how I was injured on my job.  In the next book I write, I'll be letting everyone know just how awful I was hurt, and how awful I was treated by the Worker's Compensation Board (WCB), that is now called Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB).

Why do I intend to do this?

Well, anyone who has been through what I have, would understand.  But, in my opinion, if you haven't been through this kind of hurt and abuse, you would not understand how awful it is.

Since we do have freedom of speech, I feel that people need to understand that there truly are injured workers who become disabled, even if not 100% disabled.  Still their lives change.

After talking with a friend I've known for about 27 years, I came to realize that I had never told her about my situation, as to how I was treated by WCB/WSIB.  It seemed she was surprised to hear what I had to say.

In the past, I never spoke up/out, because I was nervous about being hurt even more by WCB/WSIB.  So, I didn't very often ever discuss it.

But, the book I intend to write, will include all the evilness I endured, after being injured on my job.  Of course, I'll also discuss how God helped me.

As I told Mike Spencer's lawyer, at the courthouse when the hearing was being held regarding a peace bond being issued, due to what Mike Spencer had posted on Facebook (FB), I believe that the general public has no idea what injured workers go through.  If you haven't read about what happened with Mike Spencer, feel free to read this week's LwL entries.

In addition, I believe that the general public thinks that WCB/WSIB has always helped and covered all the costs endured by those who were injured on the job.  This in fact, is not the truth.  And, people need to know and understand this.

After all, if WCB/WSIB does not cover all the costs, then who does?

I had to for part of my medical care.  Our supplemental insurance had to for part of my medical care.  And, our Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) had to cover part of the costs.

So, you see, not all the treatment costs were paid for by WCB/WSIB.

This means that you, as taxpayers, ended up covering some of the costs for the medical care that WCB/WSIB should have paid for.  This being in addition, to what I have had to pay, myself.

Sigh...

Of course, I have more to say about this.  And, you'll be able to read about it and so much more, once I've written my next book.

Thinking about how people have generally not been knowledgeable about this type of thing, made think about speaking truth.  Especially, since the general public needs to know the truth.

Thinking about truth, brought to mind Proverbs 12:19, "The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment."

We Christians, who are God's children know that we should not tell lies.

We need to speak truth.  By speaking truth, it shall be established forever... while lies won't live long.

Are you one of God's children?

Are you trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ, and by doing so gained salvation?

If not, I suggest you do so, as soon as possible.

No one is guaranteed tomorrow.  Nor, is anyone even guaranteed their next breath.

Come to Christ, now.  A breath from now, may be too late.

Until next time...
