Labour...

If you read yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, you'll know that I went to spend time with my church family, at Walkerville Evangelical Baptist Church... where I am a member.

The Bible study/Adult Sunday school class was wonderful.  Our teacher is a true blessing!

Afterwards, like normal, we went into the sanctuary.  And, worshipped together.

It was a truly wonderful service!

Our pastor, Tom Perry, is a blessing to so many people.  Including me.

And, including a new person, who joined us for worship, for the first time!

Before, and after our service, H and I spoke.  She seemed like such a nice lady.  :)

She also made me proud of our pastor, and my church family.  You see, she let me know she just moved into the area, and had in the past, worshipped at a church, where I had been a few times.

When she let me know how she truly enjoyed our worship service, I was happy.  And, proud of our pastor.

Hopefully, she will become a member of our church family.  I'll be happy if she does!

I should let you know something special.  It happened that during pastor Tom's sermon.

I felt he was talking to me.  And, encouraging me.

Of course, he was.  Just like he was talking to others, as well.

But, it seemed he was describing me.  And, what I do for God... every day, by writing daily entries, here on LwL.

What he said, made me feel so much better.

You see, there have been times when I felt like I should no longer post, here on LwL.  Even though there have been times, when I felt blessed, by doing so.

By listening to pastor Tom speaking, I realized that even though there are some people who think I am wrong in what I do, I am doing what God would have me do.

I realized by what pastor Tom was saying, that the work I feel I do for the Lord, was correct.  And, not in vain.

As I said previously, he seemed to be describing me, when he was letting us know what we need to do.

Much like we read, in 1 Corinthians 15:58, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."

Just as we read in today's verse, we need to be stedfast, and unmoveable.  Just as I have done for a very long time, even when I have been put down for abounding in the work of the Lord.

What was said, confirmed to me that my labour is not in vain.

God appreciates what I do.  And, I'm thankful for it.

For, even though my life isn't perfect, I know He has blessed me in so many ways.

For this, I thank You, Lord!  And, always will!

Until next time...
