Good & Pleasant!

If you read Life with Lynnie (LwL) yesterday, you'll know that I went to spend time with my church family.

Like I do other SONdays, I arrived early enough to join in the group of fellow believers who were participating in our Bible study/Adult Sunday school class.  And, was able to enjoy a cup of coffee, while doing so.

Afterwards, nothing different happened.

We all went upstairs to the sanctuary.  And, our worship service began.

Like normal, we all went around and welcomed each other.  Then, sat down and began worshipping and honouring God.

There's something I must say, though.

During our announcements, I found out that on Saturday, there had been a meeting.  Sort of a conference for leadership, apparently.  However, when discussed later, it was actually a Bible study group gathering.

I hadn't known about this.  It was not listed anywhere where I could have read about it.

Sigh...

I must admit, I felt badly about it.  However, my pastor later told me that although it had been mentioned once, not everyone had known about it.

Like me.

Even so, my pastor let me know it will be printed in the future, so that everyone will be made aware.  For this, I was thankful.

Just like normal, our worship service was wonderful.  Honouring.  And, a wonderful way of glorifying God!

Even though I had missed out on that one session, where church family gathered to learn God's Word, I had attended Bible study, last Tuesday.

And, had attended a workshop/seminar on Friday evening.  In attendance, there was church family, and others from our community, whom I am not sure worship anywhere, at all.

I must admit, the reason for this gathering was rather unique.

This was actually a workshop/seminar regarding Media-wise Dangers of Social Media.  The host was a fellow Christian, who worships at a sister church, not far away.

Thinking about the amount of time and ways I spent this past week, with my brothers and sisters in the Lord, made me think about Psalm 133:1, "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!"

Yes, it is good and pleasant for brethren to spend time together.  Just as we read in today's Bible verse.

And, it was good and pleasant getting together with my brothers and sisters in the Lord, various times this week.

It wasn't just good and pleasant.  It was a blessing.

Until next time...
