I did it again, on Saturday, June 13th!
This time, I wasn't at my friend's home. Instead, I was at Guardian Storage!
Yes, I took pics, and would love to have posted them here for you to see, but I have been so busy, that I haven't yet even uploaded them into my computer. So, I'll use a couple of older pics!
I must admit, Guardian Storage really does this well!
Not only do they have people bring items to store the day before the garage sale date, but they give everyone these units, and the ability to sell things... for FREE!
Their effort to encourage people to not just come and participate in the garage sale day, but to draw people into the area to attend, shop and enjoy their time there, is wonderful! At least, in my opinion.
Guardian Storage offers bottled water, cans of various types of soda pop and... Tim Hortons coffee and Tim Bits (bite-sized donuts)! These delicious items are all free. Free to those selling, and those visiting and possibly buying from the sellers.
I had been told that about 11:00 a.m. hot dogs would be ready to be served. But, about 10:40 a.m. I saw people enjoying hot dogs, too!
Yes, those lunch doggies were FREE, also! And, delicious!
Thank you, Guardian Storage! I appreciate all you have done for me, and for others, too!
This year, there were very many people selling various items.
Including my daughter B, who was there with me. Yes, her boyfriend E, was there!
For a while, my daughter P and her boyfriend K, joined us, as well!
It actually made me feel good having both my daughters there with me. After all, I rarely get to spend time with them.
But, that day was good for me. And, for LUPUS Ontario.
It was actually good that P was with me. You see, she has Lupus. If you'd like to read about it, please read yesterday's LwL entry.
Some people who donated at our fundraiser, actually spoke with P.
In addition, some people let us know they had Lupus, too. And, let us know that some of their friends and/or family have Lupus.
Some even let us know that family members died from Lupus. Including a Facebook (FB) and real life friend, who told me after he read LwL yesterday, that his aunt died from Lupus.
Believe me when I say I told people I would pray for them, and those people they knew who had Lupus. Just as I do for my daughter P, and others.
After all, prayer is so very important!
Just as we read, in 1 Timothy 2:1, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;"
Yes, I pray. I give thanks to God, for everything. And, for all who are suffering.
Life isn't easy. And, it's not kind. Just as you've heard me say, in the past.
But, God is good.
He provides for each of us, in various ways. And, has taught us that we need to pray for others.
Do you pray?
Do you pray for yourself? For others?
If you do, I know that you'll be blessed by God. After all, He is happy when we... His children, are obedient to Him... and His calling.
Please know, I pray for you. May God bless you.
Until next time...
