Dwelleth...

If you read yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, you'll be aware that I intended to meet up with my church family.

I did.  For Bible study.  And, for our worship service.

After a very short sleep, I enjoyed spending time with my brothers and sisters in the Lord!

There was also something else I did.  Something that to me, is truly loving.

Last week, after our worship service, a couple who live across the street from where together, we worship at Walkerville Evangelical Baptist Church, held a yard sale.

One of the items they had for sale was something I needed.  A lamp.

Just so you know, I have a beautiful lamp that sits behind/beside my recliner chair.

My lamp actually belonged to my now deceased husband Gordon's mom.  I have used it for many years, now.  And, truly adore it.

A couple of years ago, or so... I had to have it rewired.  Sigh...  Lately, it hasn't been working.  Sigh...

In any case, my brother and sister in the Lord had a lamp that I thought I could use.

At that time, my van was so filled with things, that I had no room for it.  So, I asked them to hold onto it for me.

They did.  And, I picked it up from them yesterday, giving them much more money, than they thought they would receive.  I did this, to be loving to them.

On my way home, I had to drop by to see my friend A, for a short visit.

We enjoyed tea and cookies together, discussing where she lives and how nice it is.  During our conversation, I let her know about how I needed a lamp and picked one up used from my church family brother and sister in the Lord.

A let me know she thought I should take her lamp home with me.  She was about to donate it to a resale shop, here in town.

After a short conversation, she insisted I take it home with me.

Together, we walked to my van.  A carried the lamp, because it was too heavy for me to carry that distance.

I know my friend A did this, because she wanted to be loving to me.

Thank you, A!  May God bless you, my friend!

On the way out, we ran into a lady who lives in her apartment building.

A knew her.  And, so did I.

She was actually someone I met in 1982.  We worked together, at Canada Post.

Apparently, she was moving out of the apartment building where A lives.

I felt that God was opening the door with this lady I hadn't seen in such a long time.  I encouraged her to call me.   Hopefully, she will.

God just seems to always provide for us.  In so many ways.

Even by having each of us showing love to each other.

After all, all who dwell in love, dwelleth in God, and God in Him.  Just as we read, in 1 John 4:16, "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him."

Yes, God is love.

He loved us so very much, that He sent His only begotten Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ, to earth, to suffer and die on a wooden cross, to pay the price for the sin of the world... of all who will believe upon Him.

How awesome is this?!

Those who trust in/believe upon Him, have gained salvation.  And, will spend eternity in Heaven with Him.

For this, I praise God!  And, thank Him for all the love He shows us.  Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
