Confidence...

It seems I'm far behind in telling you here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), about what I've been doing, as of late.

On Saturday, June 6th, I was up really early.

After preparing to leave, I made my way to a friend's home.  She was having a yard sale.

So were some of her neighbours.

When she had told me about it, I asked if I could participate with her.  She let me know she was happy to have me.

Upon arriving, she helped me unload my van.

For this, I was thankful.  After all, lifting things is still rather difficult for me.  Thank you, my friend!  May God bless you.

No, I wasn't selling a lot of things.  But, I did have a few things I hoped to sell.

One of them was my now deceased husband Gordon's golf clubs, bag and cart.

However, my main reason for wanting to be there, wasn't really to sell items.  It was to be able to do a fundraiser for LUPUS - Ontario.

If you know me personally, or if you have read LwL for a while, you'll be aware that my daughter P, has Lupus.

Not everyone knows what Lupus is.

It is an autoimmune disease.  There are actually various types.

Some only affect skin, or have people suffer without having death part of their life.

Others, have more severe types, that can cause them to die.  Just like my daughter, P.

In fact, when she was first diagnosed, she was told that many people only live about nine or ten (9 or 10) years, after being diagnosed with the type of Lupus she has.

It's been about that length of time.  So, whenever P feels ill, I pray even harder than normal.

Prayer, is so very important.  And, is heard by God, when we are a child of His.

Just as we read, in 1 John 5:14, "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:"

Does God hear everyone?

No.

He may.  Or, He may not.

The choice is His, if it is someone who doesn't belong to Him, who is asking/praying for something they want.

But, as we read in today's verse, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  Us, His children.  That is what this verse is referring to.

Read the whole chapter and you will understand what this truly means.

My question to you, is... are you a child of God?

Some people may say... yes.  Even if they don't worship Him, or have made Him first in their lives.

Since many will stand before Christ in the day of judgement, and will hear Him say... get away from me, I never knew you, it is confirmed to us, that in order to truly have God love us, we must be saved.

We must be trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ... in order to gain our salvation.

Once we have truly become a child of God's, He will hear us, when we pray.

And, will answer us.

Hopefully, in a positive way, to what we request when we pray.

Just know that God's will is always done.  So, when we pray, we must ask that whatever we request, be the will of God.

May God bless you, my friend.  Hopefully, you're prayer is being heard.

Until next time...
