Yesterday, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I discussed how I met up with my church family, last SONday, and on Tuesday.
I must say that I was rather busy on Tuesday. Not just because of meeting with my church family.
After getting things done Tuesday morning, I left home. I did some things I had planned to do, when I went out.
Then, I made my way to the church building, where I was going to attend the last line dancing session. It will begin again, in September. But, Tuesday was the final day for the spring.
To be honest, I haven't attended in at least five or six (5 or 6) weeks.
Why? Because I haven't felt well enough to go.
Doing the line dancing, is absolutely fun to me! And, it is great exercise. Especially, for someone like me who cannot work out in a gym.
However, with the swelling problem that I've been having, I haven't attended.
A friend of mine C, has been going. I told her about the group and she admitted to me that she adores it. I'm so happy for her!
It was nice to meet up with C, and with some of the ladies I know from other church groups. And, of course, with our teacher, who usually attends legion dinners.
I have to admit, it wasn't easy for me.
Oh yes, I can say that it wasn't like I was new at it, and needed to learn the steps involved in everything. But, after not doing this for quite a while, made it not easy.
In addition, I forgot to take my slippers/shoes used for dancing.
A couple of minutes before I arrived at the church building, I realized that I had only the sandals that were on my feet! :( This didn't make it easy. In fact, a couple of women told me it could be dangerous.
God was good! He helped me!
I was able to do almost every dance. With the exception of a couple dances, where the steps were too difficult for me... even when I have the correct footwear on.
What a blessing this was to me! I felt like God had given me a gift.
Just like we read, in James 1:17, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning".
Every good thing that we receive is from God. He provides all good things to us.
Much like how He blessed me with that gift of being able to do what I had hoped to do, with my line dancing class, of friends.
Just so you know, if it hadn't been the last session for spring, I probably wouldn't have attended. To be honest, I didn't want to do anything to set off more swelling.
God provided for me in that way, also. I wasn't any better, to be sure. But, I also wasn't any worse, later. Not even with more pain.
For this, I will always be grateful. Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
