The Choice is Yours...
Once again, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I'll let you know about some movies I've watched.
Please, don't think that I just sit in front of my television (TV), and focus only on what's being aired. This is not what I do.
In fact, as I've said in the past, I do other things, while watching television. I work on blog entries, do some research and other things on the computer. And, sometimes I read.
In any case, here are a few films I watched:
* It Happened One Night, starring Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert. Here is a link for you to read about this romantic comedy that I somewhat enjoyed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It_Happened_One_Night.
* Family Business, starring Sean Connery, Dustin Hoffman, Matthew Broderick and Rosanna Desoto. Even though this movie was rather sad to me, it was one that I wanted to make sure I watched to the end. Check it out, here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_Business_(film).
* My Darling Clementine, starring Henry Fonda, Linda Darnell, Victor Mature, Walter Brennan, Tim Holt and Kathy Downs. This western film was okay to watch, even though I didn't really adore it. Click on this link to check it out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Darling_Clementine.
* The New Centurians, starring George C. Scott, Stacey Keach, Jayne Alexander and Rosalind Cash. This crime drama movie wasn't something I enjoyed much. Even so, check it out, here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_New_Centurions.
* Beat The Devil, starring Humphrey Bogart, Peter Lorre and many, many other people. To me, this movie was almost a waste of time. Of course, it's only my opinion... so, check it out, here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beat_the_Devil_(film).
Thinking about the devil, it seems he is truly alive and well. And, plays his part in every one of these films.
Of course, he's not just in these movies.
He's also in this world, seeking anyone/everyone that he can attack, or devour.
Just as we read in 1 Peter 5:8, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"
Yes, our adversary... the devil, walks about, seeking whom he may devour.
We need to be sober. We need to be vigilent.
In other words, we need to be careful. And, alert. We need to recognize the difference between what Satan, the devil attracts us to, and what God would have us do.
So, we will either be blessed. Or, pay the price.
Of course, the choice is ours.
Until next time...
