Tea Party!

I'm once again discussing things here on Life with Lynnie (LwL) that happened, last weekend.

Today's LwL entry, is not about Mother's Day, last Sunday.  It's about what I did last Saturday.

A friend of mine, who worships at a sister-church that is actually in the area where I live, had a while back invited me to attend a women's group meeting.  This meeting was to honour women for Mother's Day.

At first, I let my friend know that I wasn't sure if I could attend.  But, close to the day, I let her know I would.  And, I did!

I must admit, I truly am happy I did.

Once I confirmed I would attend the meeting, I asked if I should bring something to share with others, as a snack.  My friend let me know I should not.  So, I didn't.

As she suggested, I arrived early.  And, found the best seat for me.

Women began to arrive and joined me in the area.

One lady, who sat next to me the last time I joined them for another women's meeting, was happy to see me, and sat next to me, again.  There were many other women who attended, that I know personally.

It was truly a wonderful time.

Believe it or not, this meeting was truly a Tea Party!

We enjoyed various types of tea.  And, coffee, too.

Plus, we enjoyed fruit salad, and various baked goods.  Mmmm... everything was delicious!

A friend of mine, was sitting at another table.  Her granddaughter sat beside her... and at the beginning of the meeting, she sang.

What a beautiful voice she has!

Then, a church sister/member sang.  She also had a beautiful voice!

My friend's mom actually was the speaker for the meeting.  What she discussed was wonderful and glorified our God!

Thinking about eating, drinking and honouring God, brought to mind 1 Corinthians 10:31, "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."

I must admit, everything we did was wonderful.  And, done to the glory of God.

He was honoured.  Honoured, throughout the whole time we had, together.

For this, I was thankful.  And, always will be.

Especially, since I felt blessed being invited to join these loving sisters in the Lord!

Even though we do not worship at the same location, we are still church family.  For this, I am grateful.

Thank You, Lord!

Until next time...
