Friends...

There are times, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), when I tell you about things I do.  Today, is one of those, days.

In the past, I let you know that I attended the Howard Ave. Legion, just south of Hwy. #3, here in Windsor.  What I haven't let you know, is that I hadn't gone there to that location, in a while.

I'm happy to say, that I went there.  Yesterday!

It was a happy, yet sad time.

As I've mentioned in the past, I've gotten to know some people who go there, weekly.  Plus I know a few people outside of the Legion senior's dinners.

Being a holiday weekend, I was surprised at how many people were there!

The dance floor was so crowded (it's sized for about 53 couples, or more!), I could hardly see those who were line dancing.  You see, they were at the other end of the dance floor, from where I was seated.

I thought there was going to be more people, though.

You see, last Thursday evening, I met with my publisher.  Together, we worked on the audio version of the book I authored:  Love Never Fails You...

Before I left his office, he let me know that the following day, was his birthday.

I wished him Happy Birthday!  And, let him know that I was sorry I hadn't known until that moment, or I would have done something to celebrate his birthday.

Knowing that the Legion was going to be open for dinner, I invited him to join me.  He agreed to.

But, unfortunately, he didn't show up.  Chances are, he forgot.

A female friend of mine had said she'd meet us, there.  But, at the last minute, she cancelled out.

So, I spent my time only with people, at the Legion.

Some were people that I actually enjoyed dinner with at another Legion, last Wednesday.  At the Tecumseh Legion.

When I attended there, it was only the second time I had been there for a senior's dinner.  And, found the same group of people I sit near and have gotten to know, at the Howard Ave. Legion!

Those people were so nice to me, that day.  They moved tables together, so that we had a larger group.

Knowing that there are many Christians attending both legions, makes me feel good.  For, not only are they friendly with me and others, they also love Jesus.

Thinking about this, reminded me of Proverbs 18:24, "A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."

After all, this means we are also brothers and sisters in the Lord.  Christians who are friendly to each other, and who know that we all have a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.  Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Are you a brother or sister in the Lord?

Have you received salvation, by trusting in/believing upon our Lord, Jesus Christ?

If not, your eternal future will be horrible.  You'll end up in Hell, separated from God... with no chance of escape.

But, if you've become saved, you'll spend eternity in Heaven.  With God.  And, with me.

Hopefully, I'll see you, there!

Until next time...
