If you've known me, or read Life with Lynnie (LwL) for a long time, you'll be aware that I've been a Realtor since 1988.
However, you'll also be aware that I have not been able to work at selling real estate, for quite a while. Ever since I got sick in September 2012 and had the first of many surgeries/operations. Including that extreme surgery I am still recovering from.
Now that I'm able to drive and do many things that are easy to do, I get out and about. Quite often.
Yesterday, was one of those days.
Even though I had only slept about three and a half (3 1/2) hours, I got up early. And, got ready to leave to attend a real estate board meeting.
Arriving there, I was welcomed by a couple of women who work at our real estate board office.
After signing in, I entered the hall. It was almost full!
I made my way to a table, where I chose to be seated.
Of course, I didn't sit alone. Other Realtors and I sat together.
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast! And, addressed the issues that were part of the meeting's agenda.
There is something I should tell you, before I go any further.
A couple of months ago, like many other Realtors, I had received an e-mail from our Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), asking for me to respond to their 2015 member survey. I responded, just as many fellow Realtors in Canada, had.
To my surprise, I was selected as one (1) of three (3) people to be winners in a draw of those fellow board members, who had responded.
Thank You, Lord! I never expected this to happen. But, it did.
Of course, I had to respond to the e-mail notifying me of being a winner of a Mobile Power Bank(a portable battery charger system), which will be used to charge any/all of my digital devices. Thank you, CREA!
My response had to include the answer to a skill-testing question. Which I answered, correctly!
Then, I was told by one (1) of those two (2) ladies who welcomed me when I first signed in yesterday, that I had to attend yesterday's meeting in order to receive the prize I had won.
That's only partly why I went. Even though I haven't been working, I like to keep myself updated on what's happening.
Thinking about how God provided for me, was awesome. Thank You, Lord!
After all, I often feel like I have no true value as a person. Other than what I do for God.
I'm grateful that He loves me. And, provides for me... and reminds me about how much better I am to Him, than some others may be.
Thinking of this, brought to mind, Matthew 6:26, "Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?"
Yes, like many fowls of the air, who sow not, I have sometimes felt rather worthless. After all, not being able to work at my normal employment, doesn't make me feel good about my life.
But, God loves me so much, that He reminds me daily, about how important I am to Him.
For this, I will always be thankful. Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
